| What was I thinking? So I stupidly picked up a shift for someone today and about an hour into it I get a call from my husband telling me he just walked into the house to find Zoe delivering her last baby?! WTH...she went early last time and is now due on wed...I am not sure why I would be working...Ty said that she wouldn't go near her whelping box and wanted nothing to do with the babies. I just think she was freaking out because I was with her last time. So I get home after doing my share of the speed limit~and then some. Gave Zoe a bit of ice cream, clipped the umbilical cord...still attached to the sac off one baby. Mind you, DH and oldest son did their best at turning on the heating pad but the babies were cold. So...I am thinking she had them between 11-12..still has yet to stay in the whelping box long enough to nurse...more interested in me than the babies. Hopefully this will change soon enough! It was pretty neat to see my skinny Zoe as I flew the door. You could tell she was trying to tell me something. She led me to the places she had them(one next to the bed, one under the bed, one in the whelping box) you could almost see the expression of where were you...let me show you what happened. She is currently at my foot...so, I am hoping she soon takes interest in the puppies...like feeding them! Anyway, for the good news! We now have three little ones..again, two boys and one girl. I am assuming the girl was the leader..she is 4.8 oz! First boy is 4.6 oz and my tiny one is 3.6 oz...yay!!!! I will try to get pictures later on once they've warmed up and been fed.

| Okay...so maybe my husband is right about my being a worry wart...I went down to Petco (about 30 minutes one way) and bought some formula since I didn't have any on hand...$35 come home and Zoe is feeding the kiddos... what can I say...better safe than sorry right?

| It was wild to know that she was "communicating" with me. She would lead me to the spot and then turn around and go to the next spot. She is such a good mom! Just doting away on these babies!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Congratulations on the 3 new little ones! That is such a neat story of how Zoe communicated with you about the babies' whereabouts and giving you the look about not being there. As much as mine need to be where ever I am, I could see Halle being the same way when she has pups some day. I'm glad everything turned out well. You rest up........I'll be back again to see pics.
