| ![]() Wow...you did a great job! I hope the babies continue to do well. When I took my boys out to the vet I used a microwavable heated pad wrapped in a towel with a small fleece blanket over that...they were in a small container with the lid sitting loose on the top. I had Molly in a seperate kennel. I was afraid to put her in with the babies because she might step on them so I took them in their own container. I was told to cover the kennel (or container) with a towel and take along either a towel or disposable potty pad to lay the babies on rather than anything they use there so there is no chance of contamination. Make sure they wash their hands before handling the babies and don't let the Mommy walk on the floor. You might want to ask the vet if they've had any cases of parvo or anything that would put them at risk by bringing them in to the clinic. My husband waited with ours in the truck until they called us in and then we brought them all in. |

I would love too get together!! You probably already know this but it was REALLY helpfull to me when Piper's baby was stuck. During the pregnancy I reaserch the shape of the canine birth canal....if you have to pull one out you pull so that you are bringing the pup towards her belly button ...he was still stuck so i had to twist a bit......I was terrified but just stay calm and although you want that baby out remember to go with the contactions...if no contactions then do wht you have to do.....I also have to tell you that i am Still shocked at the force it took, I hope it goes wonderful for you but you never know and that little bit o of info is wht helped to save my pup. i am trying to learn how to post photo's...will do asap . The other thing i had to do before i forget was to poop the pup ...Piper did not know what to do so i did and put it to her nose ....she has it now but i still check once a day | |

| ![]() Ms. Paula, I am a Newbie and have not introduced myself correctly yet. My baby is 58 days and this morning I noticed bloody discharge and green mucus on my white bathroom rug. Should I be worried? I have had my darling Sadie for four years and first litter. I'm nervous and trying hard not to be. I have signed in to this wonderful site but very new and have not found my way around yet. Help! |
