| Day 63!!! Hi "D-985" Nope, nothing new. I'm trying on my "patience pants" today. They don't seem to fit very well. I keep telling myself that "the puppies just not done baking yet. Today is Day 63 and she has been just fine. The only thing today is that she's been hangin' out pretty close to me (and now her dad whose giving her a belly rub while she sleeps) Thanks for checking. I've been online most of the day reading up on whelping. WHEW!!!

| Help , some more questions from me..... Hi Jenchai - Her sonogram showed she is having 3, maybe 4 puppies. Her mom was prone to throw small furbabies too, so I'm hoping everything goes okay after she delivers. So how are you doing with this being her first time? Have you ever helped deliver any puppies before? I wish you the best of luck. Peaches has in no way has gone the "normal" road to help me watch for her signs. I've told her I'm new to this and that she should help me out some here by giving me some signals. That way I could at least get some sleep. I'm gonna be doing the happy bouncewhen this is all done. To everyone - She had diarrhea this morning and last night she was not herself again, meaning very limp when I picked her up to take her to bed, so she was very lethargic, had the dazed look in her eyes, glassy eyed. If I knew what a contraction felt like on a yorkie, I'd be watching and feeling out for that. But it feels like her tummy gets tight and there's tons of lumps all over. But she also stretches out right after it gets tight and lumpy. So I don't know if IT IS a contraction and it bothers her and that's why she stretches out or if it's just her body getting ready for a stretch. Any ideas?

| It sounds like you are in the first stages of labor. Watch her closely, as she may not give you much other warning before she starts pushing. Be sure she doesn't push longer than about 30-40 minuets without a puppy being born. You need to get to the vet ASAP at that point. Hoping some other breeders will jump on here...I have to go, but wish you the very best of luck.

| REALLY???!!!??? Isn't it a full moon tonight too? hhmmm... re: the Nutri-Cal...My husband just got it today from PetSmart and is bringing it home around 4 or 5 pm. Can you believe? They've had it on order and it was supposed to come in on Monday... then on Tuesday... and then it didn't come in. He went by some vet and got a big thing of it. So they just have occasional mild contractions and then they get strong all of sudden? Unlike most women, who it gradually builds? Is that how I understand it? Thanks for the luck, I'm gonna need it! I'm so excited though! I'm gonna do the happy dances!

| My last litter there was almost no sign, but she just didn't seem right. So I notified the vet that I thought she was in labor and sat down to wait. she was in her whelping play pen and I just happened to look over and saw her pushing. So no warning except she just wasn't behaving quite right and it was "time". BTW. she ended up needing a c-section at midnight -- so be sure your vet is on notice. Good luck.

| I'm all moved back to the whelping area with her. She is breathing harder but not panting yet. She looks really uncomfortable though. Has been digging a little but not too much. I've been in here rubbing her tummy and when she has a contraction, she stares at me and my hands and growls like "DO NOT %&@%*# touch me!" (and she just doesn't do that) and then, when the contraction is over, she leans over really slow and apologetic and looks at me with those teary and glassy little eyes. You know the look, Yorkies have it down pat. But it's so sad and breaking my heart for her! AND this isn't the hard part!
