That is true, Biewers do have great coloring and so do some partis so how can breeding gold/white yorkies compliment either? The gold and white you are breeding for would be considered a color fault, one that I would not breed and marketing it as rare is just for $$. So again...how can you compare what you are doing to the Biewer...other than the use of the word 'symmetrical'?

| You haven't offended me in any way...I'm just trying to understand how you can compare your gold and white dogs to a parti or a Biewer. Are partis allowed to only have 2 colors? If so then isn't every standard colored Yorkie a parti? Yes, your tri colored partis are similar to some Biewers (without a tail of course) but the gold and white ones, no matter how cute, beautiful or whatever, are a color fault that wouldn't be accepted by a Biewer breeder. BamaFan121s I agree with your post also...too many genes in the pool just make it crowded...not better. |

| And I would do that with Biewers because they are not AKC. No not really because I like all dogs and have no prejudice against dogs that claim to be not yorkies bred from yorkies. Oh wait I would sell them for a reduced rate because I have no proof of their being pure bred and they do not even claim to be. so yes I would sell biewers very cheep if i had any. | Yes, the Biewer standard calls for an absolute black nose and dark eye rims. The chocolate Biewer has liver or reddish colored nose and eye rims and a chocolate or Biro is not blue/gold/white or black/gold/white. However, the marketing by those breeders is no different then a Yorkie breeder marketing off colored Yorkies. |

| Well, that can't entirely be determined from a picture. No, I didn't miss the point at all. You were asked about selling on open registration and a desire to protect your lines and your response was the "more being bred the better, the bigger the gene pool." It's not quite as simple as that. |

I also like regular colored yorkies and I am very glad there are people out there that are dedicated to breeding those. It would be a very sad day if they stopped breeding standard yorkies.

So then as an active parti breeder, what role are YOU specifically taking to further these efforts? Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-16-2008 at 03:09 PM.

Ok did you miss were I said other breeders were already breeding these. I do not have a pattent on this color. In fact I have not even produced a single one yet. I have them and I hope to make more but me blocking the registration on my dogs when somebody else is breeding them too is not going to stop them from being bred. In fact it would be flat out stupid on my part.
