i think she will be ok
but i expect them in 12- 36 hours

i think she is in early labor.. so hard labor
is hours away ( not days) i hope

when women are in labor, it starts slow and far apart. then gets closer and strionger
so i expect the dogs are the same with labor

I am so sorry for you news, but happy to hear that Lucy is safe and sound. It may be tough on her though, as she may think that she does have puppies on the way. I know it must be tough for you too, as you were expecting some little darlings soon! It sounds like there will be some in less than two months though, so that is quite exciting.

At least you can now get a full night sleep!

I hope everyone, including Lucy, is okay.

There is a possbility she can develp pyometra. Your vet can give you antibotics as a preventative

i will keep a close eye on her

Please, don't be embarrased. A false pregnancy can mimic a real one in many ways. By the way, not to get your hopes up, my friend was told her yorkie was having a false pregnancy but didn't and delivered pups. I assume they listened for heartbeats. I'm sure you are disappointed and I'm so sorry about that. Glad to hear sadie is expecting.

Oh, dont be embarassed! Unless you have an ultrasound or Xray, the only other way to tell is if Lucy said that she could feel the pups kicking. Now, assuming that Lucy is in fact a dog that cannot talk, I would say that the mistake has been made by many many people!

Nothing to be embarassed about.

An ultrasound or xray can be of great assistance before the whelping date. You have an idea of how many puppies to expect or if the size is going to be a problem.

I've read about the puppies being absorbed by the mother...sounds strange but several posts about it...could that have happened?
