It sounds like its soon! The wait is killing me, so I can only imagine what it is doing to you!!! I was being overly cautious so I dont want you to think that the impending birth is far, far away. Please keep us posted. I have been following this thread all day at work and once I return hope too! |
LOL...I've been following all day too. My baby is doing nothing now...just sleeping ALOT! I just want puppies! From Zoe and from Payton...lol |

The suspense is killing me! I hope Peyton goes tonight! I am sending lots of labor vibes your way. :) Go Peyton! :aimeeyork |

Love it - labor vibes! Haha. Chloe also ate a lot right before she had the pups. She actually threw some of it up a few hours before. All dogs seem to be different. I have read about people where they didnt get a good temp drop, no nesting, and a good appetite. Hang in there! |

Any pups yet???? Just checking in. |
I was wondering the same...... |
No nothing... I am getting a little worried that she hasn't gone. She is on day 66. And she is so normal. |

Is today the day?? Okay so i just went to check on her....she has been in her whelping room by herself for about an hour to an hour an a half.... But i have been checking on her...giving her her space in case she wants to give birth by herself. But i am close by. Her whelping room is the walk in closet and i do not have the gate up or anything and she has stayed in there on her own. When i went to check on her i saw a spot on the floor in front of her outside of the whelping room. it looked almost like a pee stain until you got up to it and of course the smell you could tell she vomited. She ate earlier this morning but nothing since then. However, it looked as though she ate her vomit. Could this be a sign that she is going to go if so how much time do i have before she goes!!!!??? |
Hey, I am not experienced, like a lot of the breeders on here. A lot of your questions would probably be best answered by one of them. I am sure that you could PM any one of them and if they are available, they are usually happy to help. From my minimal experience, however, and as you know, the dog seems to clear out its system before whelping - both ends! So, Chloe vomited her food up maybe 5 - 6 hours before hardcore whelping took place. And yes, I think she tried to eat some of her regurgitated chicken!! |
Peyton not herself Ok, she will vomit everything she eats and she is off food and very clingly. She sleeps non stop. She nested very little today, but is nesting nonetheless. |
sounds like she is on her way....just keep an eye on her....some mommies go really fast even with first litters...some take for ever and ever.....just make sure to keep those puppies warm when they get here...and try ti get them to suck as soon as you can....looks like we are on actually PUPPY WATCH now..... |
Peyton not herself I think so too. She is just not herself. I am excited for puppies, yet feel terrible for her and the pain she will experience. But I know it will be worth it in the end. Peyton has such a wonderful disposition and I wouldn't trade her for the world. I will now be with her through puppy delivery. WE are ready for Peyton to let them go now....LOL |
have you got the vanilla ice cream and ingredients for the whelping pudding if you need it? |

I came in late and don't know what all has been said, but take her temperature. When it hits 98.9 degrees, she will have the pups within 48 hours (probably between 3am and 5am) |
Well right now she is so restless... doesnt know what she wants to do... i have her in the whelping room just waiting for the puppies.... She wont eat. And she vomited twice today once at around 10:15 and again later this afternoon. |
make sure you keep her in her whelping area..don't let her roam the house and run room to room..good luck! |
Is she scratching at the floor? If so, she is definately about to have the pups. Although usually yorkies pups are born in the am. If she is not scratching the floor. I would take her temp again. If it is very close or below 98. Don't leave her alone. Is this your first litter? |
