Nothing yet she just got a bath not to long ago and just a few minutes ago i took her outside as she was letting me know she needed to go... she didnt go or anything and she didnt try it was just nice out. She was in my lap on my porch and she had what seemed like a shiver but i think she might have just been sniffing..... my mother was also just holding her and said her tummy was really tight and felt like it was relaxing... but we dont think that was anything as we think we are over thinking everything. So we will have to see also she is acting normal other then roaming around back and forth. So we will see late tonight or early morning. I do KNOW that she IS pregnant as the ultrasound showed it as well as the puppy movement she has had....they were moving crazy earlier today around 3ish |
Puppy Watch Continues.....Day 64 2 Attachment(s) Okay so i was feeling Peytons Tummy and i dont feel puppies like i did earlier. I felt one small movement and it seems as though her horns are more pronounced and possibly full of puppies....if the puppies are in the horns will they barley move also how much longer from then on? Here are her tummy pictures what do you think?? Puppies soon??? Lowest temp of the day was at 11:15 this morning at 97.2. She is also still eating like a pig! LOL |
I have been following your thread. I can't wait till these puppies get here! I too have one expecting...any time now. She is on day 61. Not a yorkie, but a toy poodle. But she was bred with a yorkie! I can't wait to see your cuties and my cuties as well. Good luck! BTW, I'm new...so hello to everyone! |

pups Doesn't look like 5 to me. 3 is a good number. She should be doing something soon. I had a friend who thought maybe her bitch was pregnant ,perhaps with one..day 65 came and went. She was at the dr with her husband on what would have been day 70, came home and found a little boy all cleaned up with his mom. These dogs are not an exact science, not at all!!! Try to get a nap or two in. |

As far as time... you think she is going earlier then 5AM your looking more towards 3AM?? I hope it would be really nice. I was also told that some dont show any signs before delivering. So we will have to see! |
Hello, I have been watching this tread for days. I can't help but coming back for updates. How much did Peyton weigh before pregnancy and how much does she weigh now. How big was the stud you bred her with?:aimeeyork |

My little girl is just so very anxious. She can not sit still. She follows me everywhere. The temps have varied. The lowest that I have gotten was 98.2 but it hasn't stayed down. I can see puppies moving all over her tummy. She is doing a really odd thing, she won't let me touch her tummy much. Maybe cause I wanna feel it all the time..lol but she usually doesn't care what I do to her, but she is being really sensitive to me touching it. She is constantly grooming herself for the last few days. Chewing and licking her paws and bottom. Is this common? Anyway, I'm very anxious for your puppies to arrive. I bet you will have them by morning. My baby has had two litters before and she never really showed any signs. It has been several years but I can't remember anything that she done to show she was in labor. I would just awake to her being in her whelping box and she would be pushing and I would jump in and be there for support. I will keep you updated also cause I'm hoping it will be soon for my baby too. I'm very impatient. I have never bred her with a yorkie before, so I'm very excited! |

Her temp also varied with the lowest being 97.2 at 11:15 this morning. But did not stay down long.... |
how exciting for both of you! I bred my MiMi in February and thought she was pregnant until almost the end of the False pregnancy:(. I was so disappointed. Now I am waiting for her upcoming heat.:animal36 |
pups sometimes I have had their temp drop to the 98 range then go back up for a few days..I do feel you are close, so get some rest. Seems she is resting up for the big event. When she starts, give her some nutrical so that she has an added energy to continue along. Its nice when they don't take too long of breaks in between pups. I have spent several nights by the pen waiting for the next pup and waiting. The waiting is the worst part. I gather all your supplies are ready. While waiting I clean all my eq. and wash the fresh bedding and wait some more. Good luck and keep us posted!!! |
omg, no babies yet.. gee I had not computer for two days and thought for sure I missed all the excitement... so we are still on puppy watch.. I know how ya feel believe me.. it is long and hard that waiting.. anne |

My baby girls has still not gone either. Which she is just on day 62. I was sure that she was showing signs like 2 days ago. She has always went on day 59 or 60. Maybe she didn't take on the first tie. She had a tie then skipped a day, then tied like 11 times after...lol So I'm pretty sure she is preggers..lol Her temp is back up to 99.6 this morning. She is still eating also. I can't see her losing her appeitite cause she is such a lil piggy. Oh well, maybe they will go at the say time...Come on Peyton and Zoe .... alot of ppl are watching and waiting...:) |
Hopefully she will wait until you get home :). On a side note - Chloe would pant seldomly a few days before she had the pups. On Sunday, I left to go to a bridal shower. She wasnt panting until about 5 minutes when I got home and I thought - Oh, no, please dont go now - I have to go to work!! So, I left for work while my fiance watched her. He said there was no panting, nothing while I was gone. I got back at 11 pm and she started panting again - sure enough, around 4 am she was waking us up! Whether she wants to go while you are there, or while you are at work, I am sure that everything will work out fine. Just have the dog/puppy-sitter keep a camera on-hand incase you are not home right away! |
I don't know if this would be any help, but my vet said that you should take your dog for a ride in the car. It gets them excited and the adrenaline should cause them to go into labor. He said it is an old pig farmer trick. :) I really don't know from experience, but maybe it is worth a try. |
Now, thats something I never heard!! The only thing I would caution against is that she might not be as far along as you have calculated (ovulation can affect this, as I am sure you have read). In that case, you really dont want to over stimulate her or get her to go into early labor - as you will end up with premature pups. I had the misfortune of going through the live birth and deaths of four premature pups a few weeks ago. Sorry to be a downer, but I would caution against over stimulation at this point. |
car ride From everything I have read, she's ready any time,.a car ride, around the block just might do the trick, or a fast paced walk. I have done that a couple times. |
I don't think it would like force it to go into a premature labor. It would just get the ball rolling. My vet is awesome and has been in the business a long time. |

Hey, I wasnt trying to offend anyone or say that their idea was a bad one. I guess I am more cautious, perhaps overly cautious, than most. Chloe gave birth to those four little pups only 3 weeks ago, so the feelings are a bit raw and I would hate to see anyone have to lose the entire litter the way that I did. With that said, it seems like she is going to have them soon! Again, my apologies to Crickadoodle if you thought I wasnt being nice!! |
No offense taken. I just have a really good vet who takes time to talk to you about everything. He's so thorough. I think it's funny too about the pigs. My vet found it humorous when he shared this information. He was saying he doubted they still did this today, with such big pig farms. Can you imagine the sight of all those pregnant pigs in the back of the truck??!! My Stevie Rae is about to have her puppies soon and already has milk -- so I'm reading everything I can to be prepared. I think she is on her 57th day. |
Oh, and Jenn, I'm very sorry about your loss. I know that had to be a very hard thing to go through. |
