testing does not make a person a better breeder.. if there is one puppy in a litter with a disease, the entire breeding program needs to be ended.. those males and females need to be fixed.. no testing needed.. just retire them to be happy pets.. if you want to breed again, then get new healthy puppies.. and wait 2 years for them to grow up...
i asked my vet about testing, and she said it was not necessary..
if i see symptoms of illness, then it will be time to test.. and no one is drawing blood from my dogs jugular vein.. this is my definition of responsible..

I absolutely think it's the economy AND the fact that you have so many "hobby breeders" and byb's nowadays that the competition is just to much!

I'm sorry to hear you are so negatively affected. I'm actually surprised you have any puppies left!!

I am not saying this to be mean.. but I think you and some others that do not breed or show.. need to get good advice before you put all the eggs in one basket.. am I upset.. your darn tooten I am..I would invite you into my home and see what I do and how I do it and how my dogs live and what testing is done. and who I would chose to be so lucky to own one of my precious babies..
