| Questions to ask Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone has a certain questionaire that they use when interviewing potential parents. Do you make your own contracts? I don't know how many babies we will have but we are planning on giving one to a neighbor and another to an elderly lady but I thought I would make them both fill something out just to have it. Do you think they will think I'm nasty for making them fill out one? Thanks bunches!! |

| Being that you are giving them a puppy, I would certainly hope not. I would ask common sense questions are they prepared for the vet bills, should they arrise. Who would take care of the baby if they were no longer around? How aware are they of a yorkies specific needs? Do you know how to help your dog is they experience hypoglycemia? Is your yard fenced? Do you have other large animals that could put the baby at risk? What type or leash system are you going to work with for your dog? How much time can you devote to your baby? Are you looking to breed? WHen will you get them spay/neuter. I would say decide what is most important to your and the puppy and go from there.

| Honestly there are a hundred diffrent questions you will want to ask, something things that are important to me, may not be to you. It just all depends on the breeder. I have a clause that should they not be able to keep the dog, it is to be returned to me for placement. I do not want one of my babies ending up in a shelter. I also require a spay/ neuter by 6 months. I think other animals can be iffy, I had a doberman for years and she was fine with my yorkies, my other female however clashed with Bridget. We had to rehome her in the end, becasue they were going to kill each other. So that is something to keep in mind, size is not a determining factor , additude is. I am sure other breeders will hop on and give you further advice. I do use my own contact. I offer a 1 year herth garentee as well. I got my contract by looking at others and taking what I liked to create my own. Perhaps you can find some here, I would offer mine, however I am in the process of rebuilding it, as the old comp crashed and all I have is hard copies... Good luck with the pups!
