Unexpected babiesPlease help

ok...i was finally able to log in from here, thank you , thank you, thank you, I did not get the name of the lady that called, the puppi is wrap in a little towell and is drink puppy formula, I think they are going to take Cloe to the emergency vet.Thank you again.Did I mention is a boy?

Breny the saliva or nutri-drops worked for me in the past. They could try just a tiny amount of Karo or honey on his gums. Theres no telling how long before they got home that he was born, so it is possible he has nursed before they came home too. I hope they do take your advice on getting to a vets soon.

Make sure they take the puppy with them to the vet.....just keep him warm!

thanks for the update.. and that they are going to see the vet...did they have puppy forumla handy when they did not know she was having babies..that is good they did.. make sure it is the puppy formula and noting else... anne

I did suggest they find an emergency vet and call. I feel it would be better safe than sorry since they were not home when he was delivered and have no idea if there are any others. Plus to make sure there is not a retained placenta.

They do not know how much the pup weighs so I'm hoping it is not a tiny.

Right now they are going to call the vet and I gave them advice on keeping him warm and to keep trying to get him latched on.

But at this point since they don't know when he was delivered and if there are anymore, I think he and mom needs to get to the vet asap.

Breny.. I am in waiting on my girl to whelp.. so I did not want to tie myself up with you right there.. and I know you did not mind... thanks for helping this baby... I hope we get updates...anne

Hi, it was me you talked to. Are they bottle feeding him? Is he nice and warm now? Yes, take him and mom to the vet to get checked out, so much better to be safe than sorry.

Back in my house, the puppy drank some puppy formula, my husband and Cloes dad went to walmart, they bought formula and soft food for Cloe.The baby was wrapped in a towel and is getting warmer, he already pupped.Cloe has not a big tummy, to the point that the vet did not think she was pregnant, so they decided to wait and not do Xrays.Surprise, surprise, they got home after almost 1 hr,maybe a little bit more to find Cloe with a baby boy, she was rested when I got there, but before I left she was breathing a little bit heavy,we were not planing on breeding them,(Max and Cloe) but we live very close and they like to play together.All the information I had was from TY, so when my neighbor call to tell my husband and I just ran over.

PS they did not have a scale, but he is around, 2/2.5 oz, no more than that, he is sooo cute

thanks for the update.. you can get scales at walmart.. you need to keep him weighed before and after he eats.. you can lose these little ones fast.. I had a tiny like that.. tube fed every two hours night and day with out missing out a minute in her schedule.. it is that important for he can deyhdrate very fast.. you can never really guess a weight...
and scales at walmart that he can get into.. are not expensive...good luck keep us updated... going to bed now...anne

Good morning ladies, I haven't heard from Cloe's owners yet.I hope her beautiful baby boy made it through his first night.As soon as I know something, I'll let you know.

Well..my husband could not wait any longer and called Cloe's owners, Cloe is doing fine and the baby made it.They did not go to the emergency vet.I offered to have Cloe and baby over during the day while they are at work, so I (and all of you, of course) can keep an eye on them.I'll try to get the scale and for sure will take pictures.

HI Mary I had to go to bed last night but came to check first thing this AM
