Can you call a vet or take them in to be sure? I would rather be safe than sorry. These little ones go down FAST, trust me. | |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | ![]() They have the pup on the heating pad with mom, and moved them to the warmest room in the house. The pup has not latched on but he is breathing and moving and mom is licking him and taking care of him. I did suggest they find an emergency vet and call. I feel it would be better safe than sorry since they were not home when he was delivered and have no idea if there are any others. Plus to make sure there is not a retained placenta. They do not know how much the pup weighs so I'm hoping it is not a tiny. Right now they are going to call the vet and I gave them advice on keeping him warm and to keep trying to get him latched on. But at this point since they don't know when he was delivered and if there are anymore, I think he and mom needs to get to the vet asap. |

| ![]() I've also hear Nutri-drops on the nipple to encourage puppy to nurse. Neither saliva or Nutri-drops worked for me. I think Karo syrup, just a touch, might be more enticing.
