Julz, I haven't been able to get any milk out and the puppies are ignoring this teat. She is swollen from last teat to her vulva. But not red or inflamed. Really a little confusing, not typical presentation. No fever. Sorry to put this in the middle of Amanda's thread.

Tiah was like that once. Keep trying the warm compress and gently doing a massage toward the nipple. If you can get some good milk started, you'll be in luck. I was surprised when this happened to Tiah because those are usually the favorite two teats for puppies. I don't think Amanda would mind us discussing this on her thread being that she will want to learn all she can. I did not have to take Tiah to the vet. I hope you can get some milk expelled. Let me know. Keep trying

I KNOW! It was surprising when there wasn't a new post every 30 seconds. It is killing me. We HAVE to hear from Amanda soon. It is normal not to have another pup yet and I'm sure she won't leave Kallie just to console us...however, the wait is killing me
