Julz, I haven't been able to get any milk out and the puppies are ignoring this teat. She is swollen from last teat to her vulva. But not red or inflamed. Really a little confusing, not typical presentation. No fever. Sorry to put this in the middle of Amanda's thread. |
Tiah was like that once. Keep trying the warm compress and gently doing a massage toward the nipple. If you can get some good milk started, you'll be in luck. I was surprised when this happened to Tiah because those are usually the favorite two teats for puppies. I don't think Amanda would mind us discussing this on her thread being that she will want to learn all she can. I did not have to take Tiah to the vet. I hope you can get some milk expelled. Let me know. Keep trying
