Ruby Update Okay, this looks promising. New temp is 98.6 (from 98.5 earlier today). She just has that look! Also, you know how you "nested" before your children were born, cleaning, etc., well I have been "nesting" all morning. Its a "sympathy nest" for Ruby.:D Last, ladies I need your quick help, I can't find the thread that tells which puppy shot you shouldn't give to these little dogs. I've looked and looked -- probably having a mind-warp from all these pregnancy hormones (Ruby's not mine!). Today the puppies get Distemper, Parvo, Para Influence and Hepatitis. Are any of these a no-no??? Thanks, |
I got it -- its Lepto. Thanks. Busy day today... Maybe Ruby will have her puppies, new female coming to be bred today, all puppies going in for first shots, and my granddaughter has a play date. Of course I can do it all. 'Cause I'm a Woman, W-O-M-A-N... you know the tune, sing along. We can do this! :cheer::cheer::cheer: |

waiting :confused:took sasha temp again tonite its 102,,,,up highest point ,,wont be long now till her new puppies arrive ,,,poor babe shes so restless ,,she doesnt seem to be able to get comfortable and looks so sad,,,,,,,,just lying around ,,,has slept most of day in her whelping box,,,,not eating very much ,,but drinking plenty ,,,,,,,im wit her 24/7 just in case ,,shes due this week ,,,,,will let u know how shes doin,,,,,,:aimeeyork:) |
Ruby's temp New temp is 98.7. Up from 98.5 and 98.6. earlier today. How long is it supposed to stay down -- 12-24 hours? Puppies all got shots; new female came and needs to "cook" another couple days so I'm keeping her, playdate on the way, Ruby in a holding pattern. See, I can do it all! HA! Boy, you ladies due at the end of the month are starting to crowd us. I guess our girls had better get going or risk being left in the dust. |

Yep the temp should stay down and very slowly climb back up to normal...Hard labor will start when the temp climbs back up...Don't forget to write it all down so you can refer back to it with the next litter....It also will help if you have to call the vet for any reason...Helps me remember! Get some rest, it may be a long night! |

Oh my goodness... I was looking at Lilly and was thinking that poor baby can't get much bigger or she is going to start to roll! So I decided to weigh her really fast... she is up almost 6ozs from three days about... that means she has gain 2.5lbs now. Oh boy we have to be sooo close. But, checked her temp still exactly at 100! |
When it gets down to the wire it the minutes become hours. Good luck! Maybe you will luck out and have a "daylight" birth. |
I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying praying praying...he has been nursing on his own tonight. He crawled over to momma and did it himself! He didn't get quite full, so I supplemented him a little...but he got sick of the bottle, shoved it away, and then went back to his mom to nurse more!! He's still at 3.2 ounces....but I think this is a good sign. I HOPE at least. Come on little Aidyn, we can pull through this!!! :hands: |

Okay, Ruby's temp today has been: 98.5, 98.6, 98.7, 99.5, and was just 99.2. I tried to take it every 2-3 hours. She is still eating and moving around slowly. She really is teasing me. Good luck to all of us... |
