| I haven't had her spayed only because I have been having my hands full since I've bought her. I have a one year old, and I'm expecting again, we just bought a brand new house so that my dogs would have a place to run around outside(fenced in), also I got married three weeks ago and had all kind of parties to put together for my showers etc. Not to mention I have four yorkies. I didn't buy her as a breeding dog. She has CKC papers and my male has AKC papers. So now I'm going to have to do all kind of things to get my male registered CKC IF they even have pups. I have always been careful with my babies....knowing their heat cycles and to keep them apart. I have three females and this is the very first time I will be breeding any of them. One of my females is expecting at the end of the month. This is another reason why I didn't want them to bred. I am already going to have a litter. Anyways, God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle, so I guess he is trying to teach me something. |

well, it sounds like the perfect time to have her spayed now. I'd have it done immediately before she get further along in her pregnancy.

| You need to decide what you want to do..if she has these babies, and you dont' want her having anymore, please have her fixed after the babies are born...I really hate to see pg. bitches spayed while pregnant, I don't think it's fair to the mothers, just as it's not to a human... |

| I've made the decision not to spay during pregnancy ( as seen on Bile Acid Test thread) because I think it is too dangerous, and inhumane. Spay after the puppies are weaned and mom is in good health. She won't come into heat again for at least 6 months. So there is time to wait and do it when she is in good condition.

| My vet will not spay during a pregnancy unless it is life threatening to the mother. |
