Most Prolific Stud Ever? I was wondering how many of you have Clarkwyn's Jubilee Eagle (CeDe Higgins' sire) in your dog's pedigree? He is an ancestor to one of my dogs and seems to be in many breeders lines that I've found that post pedigrees on their web sites. If he got around as much as it seems, he was one lucky dog .

| You'll see alot of him because he was the grandsire to both Rothby's Renegade and Caraneal's Charged and Ready through Jentre's Charger of Mistangay. These two studs were some of the most widely used in the US and Canada.

Yes, all 3 dogs you mentioned are also in my dog's pedigree. I was asking about him because he is the one furthest back in the line.

line Jubie contributed greatly to the breed..his owner was critized for allowing some not so perfect bitches to be bred to him...Ruth's theory was to help others improve and Jubie could do it.

One of my foundation females had Clarkwyn's Jubilee Eagle on her 4th generation twice. It looks like they did a half brother, half sister breeder with Jubilee and produced Ch. Ru-Jac's Blues In The Night who produced Ch. Glenariff Left So Blue.

Both my sire and dam have Jubilee Eagle in their backgrounds. The sire's pedigree is also heavily weighted with Ju-Gene, Durrer and Heskethane lines. They had their first litter in January (2 girls, 1 boy). I don't have a real mentor relationship with the breeders but plan on visiting the dam's breeder with my pups as she is an experienced show breeder so she may help me evaluate them. At what age can pups be evaluated for show potential? Is 3 months old too soon?

Often in the past you will find common ancestors due to the area in which they lived. Now with travel made so easy - that is not always the case. T.

breeding So much is different now..and since the computer age, the dog world is incredibly small.....you would have thought we lived in the dark ages, sticking close to home and breeding within our circle of breeder friends ...it used to take months for gossip to get from coast to coast..now it goes around the world in minutes..LOL
