Both my sire and dam have Jubilee Eagle in their backgrounds. The sire's pedigree is also heavily weighted with Ju-Gene, Durrer and Heskethane lines. They had their first litter in January (2 girls, 1 boy). I don't have a real mentor relationship with the breeders but plan on visiting the dam's breeder with my pups as she is an experienced show breeder so she may help me evaluate them. At what age can pups be evaluated for show potential? Is 3 months old too soon?

First evaluation should be made at 8 weeks old. My mentor evaluates again at 3 months before we put them in puppy matches. Find the DVD the Puppy Puzzle, it will help out alot. If you can find a puppy match close by they are invaluable. Even if you don't show your puppies you can have a judge or an exhibitor/breeder evaluate them.
