I guess that's why I get so frustrated when someone just puts together two dogs together and breeds them without first studying the breed and doing much research before breeding. I guess why I am so passionate about it because my first yorkie Jodi had a genetic health issue and we had to put her to sleep at 7 years old several years back and she was named after my daddy who passed away 5 days before I got her and when we lost her due to something that could have been avoided makes me emotional. Losing her and my daddy's name sake makes me just that much more passionate about knowing and doing the right thing! And knowingly breeding genetic health issues is unethical and just plain WRONG! I can't get anymore clearer than that! Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers

| ![]() Before I even opened this thread, I though to myself....this is a huge red flag that the breeder is so caught up over being slammed....Whenever I have done something wrong, I only get caught up when I have a guilty conscience. A decent breeder would take the slam, try their ABSOLUTE BEST to right the wrong, then move forward, without a conscience and let their otherwise great practices continue to speak for themself. Then I opened the thread and decided to have an open mind....and closed it right back up when I saw all the other TERRIBLE red flags on the her site too. Then the OP doesnt even come back to comment, thank anyone for the input, DEFEND herself or anything!! To me, she has burried herself. I too dealt with a terrible breeder and she came on here and her actions spoke for her too. She was theatening me, lying, yada, yada, yada, and people saw right through her and could see for themselves by what she typed and why I found her so severly unethical!!.....Bottom line...the truth is in your actions luvmiyorkies......and your actions from the way you contradicted yourself between your first post and your what you say on your site all the way down to not just coming back and being willing to learn from your mistakes (which we all have and it's ok!).....that just is speaking louder to me than your original post. Best of luck to us all....the one thing my mother taught me that I value the most, is to find my fault in EVERYTHING (be it small or large). Because then you learn and grow from your faults and become the better person for having the open mind to improve what you are doing.......just my personal thoughts on this... ![]() |

Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers P.S. I got a call today from someone about her yorkie with possible liver shunts...I advised what I'd do and she was very appreciative! I felt good after our conversation knowing someone cared enough to call a yorkie breeder thru "AKC/YTCA" to ask questions! (of course after the vet visit and BAT's ran).
