Ours was dark green and had alot of it ,my vet does not like any green show before any pups are out after a pup is born then it is okay with him to have green discharge. Glad you were right on top of it and knew something was not right with her,you are a good momma!!!

Her temp had been low since Sat. and I am wondering if the pup with the stomach opened had seperated somehow in utero - reason for the dark green. She was the same size as her brothers and was well developed. My vet said that she had been died for awhile maybe two days. Hmmmm. Both pups are nursing good now. T.

Good the babes are nursing now,I suppose mom was put on something for infection just in case. You never know what happens sometimes and will never have an explanation for things that go wrong. That could be a good reason as to why things did not go right as a early seperation!. In the 7 years we bred bigger dogs I never had a problem with birthing but with these toy breeds anything and everything can arise.Another reason for those who want to start breeding to know and research as much as they can you can never know enough!! Hope momma mends fast and is up and around soon. Last edited by 011011; 02-27-2008 at 08:55 AM.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Geez....where have I been again? Just seeing this thread and am glad I haven't missed your litters' welcome into the world. Oh, the pictures....she looks so ready to have this over and done...poor baby. Well, not that I've found the thread, I'll be watching for the big moment, hoping all goes well for everyone involved. BTW...I believe my guess was for 6 puppies 4boys, 2girls. To topknot: Congratulations on your two little boys and of course sorry to hear of the one pup you lost. You have some beautiful yorkies and I look forward to seeing pictures of the new boys as they grow.

Poor baby...she is really about to pop!!! Bless her little heart..maybe soon very soon...sending whelping vibes your way! My guess would have to be 4 girls and 2 boys. Even though how big she is it makes me want to say 8! Can't wait for the announcement! By the way she is a beauty!

OMG! That poor girl! She is sooooo big. Looking at that first pic, I'd almost wanna say 10 babies.......jokingly, of course! Then looking at the second one I noticed how small her face looks in comparison to her belly, from the camera angle I'm sure. Well, we all can't wait for those puppies to come out....but not nearly as badly as the mama. BTW, don't you have another litter due soon too, ? When is that one expected? I think I remember reading that at some point.
