| and i didnt say it was a heated dicussion i stated i dont want it to BECOME a heated diccusion my female is ckc but her pedigree has some nice champions in it im not sure why she isnt akc honestly. but her coat isnt as nice as i had hoped for but its getting better, especially since she had the babies. her parents where perfect examples of what i wanted short cobby bodies, long silky coats one was silver the other was black my male was to large, but i nice coat, long thick and silky dark black with a lot of gray in his face. when i got him i saw his mother, i wasnt inpressived but i had driven a long time. i was told his father was akc 3lbs. but the litter wasnt registered so i took copies are the akc certification and pics and sent it into to ckc. and registered my litter. when i called akc, the grandfather of my male wasnt DNA tested after AKC started requring DNA testing so he was unacceptable by AKC standards after that. this is what akc told me anyways which basically is what the breeder told me |

| When considering changes, adding dogs included, I'd strongly recommend evaluating goals of a breeding program. A mission statement of sorts for yourself. Asking a few questions of ones self such as...Do I want to provide companion dogs for other people that represent the standard? Do I want to produce a dog that I can show? Are my dogs healthy? Are their ancestors healthy? Am I incredibly proud of my dogs and the dogs they produce? These are a few. I've went through these questions myself and thought, where do I want to be 20 years from now in my breeding program? And I starting doing what I needed to get on the path. Probably too heavy for your question, just ignore if so. Buying new dogs can be very expensive so it is something to think about... |

| It is my understanding, correct me please if I am wrong.. but If you have an AKC or a CKC (canadian kennel club) that you can apply for the opposite then what you have.. If your yorkie is of standard of course. I am thinking as I type, are you talking continental kennel club. I do get confused when people just say CKC. I do not know much about the continental one..I know this was not your question, but an opportunity for me to ask this question at the same time as seeing this post. I am not wanting to change your subject at all.. |

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | If I were you, I'd sell all puppies and buy a nice, quality bitch that is AKC and start over. Spay/neuter the adults that you have and place them in pet homes. If you're going to do something, do I right...and no, that isn't meant to be ugly. JMO
