When considering changes, adding dogs included, I'd strongly recommend evaluating goals of a breeding program. A mission statement of sorts for yourself. Asking a few questions of ones self such as...Do I want to provide companion dogs for other people that represent the standard? Do I want to produce a dog that I can show? Are my dogs healthy? Are their ancestors healthy? Am I incredibly proud of my dogs and the dogs they produce? These are a few.

I've went through these questions myself and thought, where do I want to be 20 years from now in my breeding program? And I starting doing what I needed to get on the path. Probably too heavy for your question, just ignore if so. Buying new dogs can be very expensive so it is something to think about...
