![]() i know i have been really asking a lot of questions lately but im trying to decide what to do with my situration. okay i currently have my female yorkie, gidget & little girl is my yorkie/pom mix gidget had a litter 3 weeks ago...which im sure some of you remeber me asking questions about my littlest. she had 3 boys and 2 girls gidget is registered with ckc, apr, napdr and uabr and so are the babies with the leftover money i would like to buy me a good breeder quality male. and i know most of you would say make sure he is akc. but my dog is ckc and if i keep one of the females to add to my breeding program, that female is ckc. and they are really precious looking. i had a waiting list for some of the males already. so that leaves the 2 females, 1 for me 1 to sell and i have 1 male available as well. But someone inquired last night for both females. if i sold both then i could also get an akc female, but i dont know if i want to. i cant decide which female to keep either. here are pics of my females....i would like to get some thoughts on what you would do...

![]() You could post pics of the parents, all puppies are cute. Best to judge them for yourself, do they adhere to the standard? In other words are the good representations of the breed? And we must remember to be brutally honest with ourselves. If not, I would not keep a puppy at all. I'd buy a really nice male and female (AKC) after much research. Concerning AKC or CKC, a few on YT have CKC dogs that breed. There are also nice quality CKC yorkies and if you're selling for companions, CKC will do. I prefer AKC as many do that doesn't matter lol. Hope this helps and is of course, just my opinion.

![]() I prefer AKC, but it's all a personal preference. I have one CKC dog, Maddie, and the rest of mine are AKC. Maddie is definitely a purebred dog, I've had her checked out, researched her background, etc. BUT there are too many people registering non-purebreds through CKC right now. I'm sure it will get better in the future, but right now there is still a lot of controversy.

![]() if their weight is good i do place at 8 weeks. i have never had a problem bring home a puppy at that age and my experience with the mothers is after a certain point the mothers dont have any thing to do with them. i know that a lot of breeder will disgree and state that they will get the socialization from mom at 8-12 weeks but i have noticed that my first female ignored them after they started weaning and other dogs that i have grown up with and seen bred do about the same. so yes if they arent tiny which it doesnt look like it, except 1 of them i will let them go at 8 weeks

![]() I have a female that isn't interested with her puppies when they reach 8 weeks either but that is when I socialize the puppies with my other dogs and humans in my home. JMHO they should never leave at 8 weeks whether they be 4 pounds at 8 weeks or whatever...JMHO Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers

![]() You are right, it was off topic. I noticed it and commented after I looked at your website that you posted. Sorry for not sticking to your topic about expanding your program. | |
