| A hypoglycemic puppy at 3 weeks??? That seems a little strange. I would have her checked by a vet, it could definitely be something serious. Usually hypoglycemia or sugar drops don't occur until they're weaning and switching to dry food. Do you have the mom on a high calorie puppy food? |

| I think it would be uncommon that young...it usually starts around 5 weeks if it's going to happen. |

| She might have seizures I sure would have her checked over by the vet. See if they can see something that is causing this. With her being so young it could be head shunt not closed or something like that.

| the weight of your 3 week old puppy would not suggest hypoglycemia unless of course you are in the weaning process, (I hope this is not the case weaning this young) 3 week old puppies should be doing more sleeping than playing, their are not sure footed (more like a wobble walk and tumble easy), nor can the see clearly (although their eyes are open they do not have clear vision until 5-6 weeks old) I would not use nutrical at this young age, you will only promote a bad stool....nurtidrop would be ok, but again I dont think hypoglcemia is the issue... Does this little one have an open fontanel? If she is draining in the nose and sneezing, she very well may be congested and needs amoxy or clavimox to clear it up..I would do a vet check to make sure. keep us posted

| Tammy if she is congested I would suggest getting her to the vet ASAP these little ones can get sick very fast and before you know it, lose them...the vet will prescribe the clavamox or amoxy or what ever is needed. The open font also should be checked, puppies with open fonts tend to be much more fragile and need extra care.

| ok i took littlest to the vet she was given fluids and clavamox i asked about the twitching and me thinking hypoclemic they said it is possible at her age and giving her nurtra cal ok soft spot was okay.. they said the congestion wasnt bad she was more squeaky then anything they gave her fluids in the back and i about busted back there with my arms full with my two kids because she was screaming i was scared they had dropped her. poor baby cried and screamed for 5 minutes or so!! but we are home with medicine and i think we will be okay..she is gaining weight really well i weight them almost every day thanks again!!! to the yorkie super heros... |

| if he gave her sub-q fluids it means she was becoming dehydrated. Good you went to the vet, she should be fine once the meds kick in...please avoid giving the nutrical...there really is no need, her weight is fine at this age. If you want to do something as you are weaning add a bit of Karo in the puppy drinking water.

| Tammy as a safe guard I would give her alone time on the teat so she doesnt have to fight for her feeding, or suppliment the larger one 4-5 times day... how many pups are in her litter??
