When we have someone in heat then they are in a seperate room. Sometimes they are penned off from a room or the kitchen during the day when I have something going on or the kids are playing with certain toys they like to take off with and chew up.They all have their own pen for bedtime also, But otherwise mine have free roam of our house. WHen we have babies they are kept in our bedroom till they are bigger then they are brought in the kitchen in a expen. Last edited by 011011; 02-13-2008 at 08:07 AM.

Hey, thanks for posting the P-shield thing!!! I have tried making something like that for years and these are soooooooo much better than anything I have created!!! I turned my garage into my "kennel/grooming" area. I installed a separate air conditioner/heater and the laundry room is also right there. I am now replacing the garage door with a wall with those glass block windows.

We've turned 1/2 of our garage into a Yorkie/Office room for us, when we have puppies in the Spring of 2009 then I guess I'll find a roll away bed to sleep on in there lol. U can view it at our website just click on the Yorkie Room!

I think for a crate the size we have U'd just have to have a peice or maybe two, I'll ask the cost of siding here, we're in Indiana but it should be that much difference in cost from state to state. Does that site charge for them or can U buy that? I'd like to know if they charge and what...I wouldn't pay for it unless I home made it but now that I seen it I'm gonna ask my Hubby if he could do it for ours...But I wonder about it hurting them at the edges if they might get scratched on it or would they chew it up??? Mine might chew, we still have 3 that are pups. Our boys are older and it might work for them??? Girls we don't have a problem with yet!! Galahad is marking and he does do it at night! LOL! But not during the day as he wears belly bands and that puts a stop to that!!

I am currently looking for a little shed to put outside in my back yard. As of now, I have a home made pen in my garage that is 8x10 in size that they all run around in(all four of my dogs) and they all have their own beds. I've posted up what my room kinda looks like. Hope it helps. I do not believe in sticking my babies in crates. I wouldn't want to be locked up all day. They are only in that pen during the day when I'm at work.
