Your "dog" area Okay breeders, since the marjority of you probably have several dogs, is anything arranged for their area? do you have a seaparate building? is one room in your home set up as a dog room, for puppies and visitors, and dog food and toys? can i see pics of what you did? me and my husband are going to expand are breeding program and we are talking about how we are going to set everything up. and i would like some inspiration :D |
my dogs have their own "room " with beds toys food and such |
we are thinkin of taking the guest room/office and putting their crates in there, with a my desk, a love seat, the feeding area, the xpen and i wanted to see others to get an idea of what else i what or need to do, supplies and o forth thank you |
The WHOLE house for now. When my 18 yr. old ever moves out, (not that I want him to ;) ) I will be able to have a nusery...:yay_jump: |
When we have someone in heat then they are in a seperate room. Sometimes they are penned off from a room or the kitchen during the day when I have something going on or the kids are playing with certain toys they like to take off with and chew up.They all have their own pen for bedtime also, But otherwise mine have free roam of our house. WHen we have babies they are kept in our bedroom till they are bigger then they are brought in the kitchen in a expen. |
my dogs currently have run of the downstairs and sleep in their crates that are in day room. But i like them having their own place that i can close off, when we have babies |

my dogs have run of my house. i could not stand for them not to be with me all day. right now i have pebbles laying on my feet, vinny in my lap, coco on her pillow looking outside and muffie on the back of my couch looking at me. i wouldn't have it any other way. |
Hey, thanks for posting the P-shield thing!!! I have tried making something like that for years and these are soooooooo much better than anything I have created!!! I turned my garage into my "kennel/grooming" area. I installed a separate air conditioner/heater and the laundry room is also right there. I am now replacing the garage door with a wall with those glass block windows. |

Aren't the shields just vinyl siding?? Should be very cheap to make. |
We've turned 1/2 of our garage into a Yorkie/Office room for us, when we have puppies in the Spring of 2009 then I guess I'll find a roll away bed to sleep on in there lol. U can view it at our website just click on the Yorkie Room! |

1 Attachment(s) I am currently looking for a little shed to put outside in my back yard. As of now, I have a home made pen in my garage that is 8x10 in size that they all run around in(all four of my dogs) and they all have their own beds. I've posted up what my room kinda looks like. Hope it helps. I do not believe in sticking my babies in crates. I wouldn't want to be locked up all day. They are only in that pen during the day when I'm at work. |
