| New Litter Kit I'm not sure I'm very impressed with the new registration forms for puppies through AKC. Any time we requested limited registration before, there were numbers in the box that we blacked out. Now there are no numbers there. So if a person were to register their puppy online... how would we know for sure they weren't putting in full registration?

| Fannie, AKC has stopped the online registration, where the code was in the box because when the breeder blackened the code out, peoiple were holding it to the light and getting the code off and online registering. That is the reason for what you found. Now, it will all be done by mail. i knew they were going to do this but didn't kow just when. Probably changed it in January. |

| Ok, I wondered the same thing about holding it up to the light to see the numbers. You can still register them online. However, I'm thinking that only Limited Registration can be done online. That full has to be mailed in?

| Did Emmy's papers have the 3 digit code? Or did you register her limited? My puppies are all neutered or spayed, so even if they did cheat they wouldn't get anywhere with full registration. But, I'd like to figure this out.

| Do these forms have an "online pin" on them? Not the full reg number, just the pin? |

| There is an online pin, there is also the 3 digit number that the breeder can mark out if it is limited; so you have the option of registering online or mailing paperwork in.

| Nope. No pin. As I'm reading through it, it doesn't say anywhere that the puppy can be registered online. I'm guess that it's like Dee said and they are doing away with the online registration. Maybe not with the "old" registration papers. But for puppies that have been born with these new litter kits, they can't be registered online.

| Yep, with no pin, those are the new ones. I don't know why I didn't think about this in the first place... Long weekend I suppose. They're doing away with online registration completely I think...not sure about the litter reg, but definitely for individual pups. I think online makes it too unsecure or something (which I can understand). Still it's just a little more of a pain in the butt. |

i don't know about that but I do that AKC is in the process of sswitching forms so they have some of the old ones yet and they are going to phase out the online registration. | |
