| Well after reading your post(S) and others here about that site I got to wondering about how you and others could say that the dogs in the pictures were less than desirable. I revisited and read the pages of their satisfied customers and saw that all of them were positive. I wonder if any of you saw those, probably not. |

It doesn't mean the resulting pups aren't great pets that would result in 'satisfied customers,' but it doesn't mean it's a well bred dog conforming to breed standards either, which is what concerns many. I was pretty sure about what you were 'wondering'--it is often the case when a loaded question like that gets asked by a brand new member. ![]() I guess you could call it a trend. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...eder-info.html Last edited by BamaFan121s; 10-20-2008 at 04:46 PM. | |

The world is filled with breeders that love their dogs and treat them well.....However, there are breeders that really aren't breeding correctly; to improve the breed and leave it better than they found it. Which is why this forum is here, to educate people, on how to make the right choice in picking a breeder and a puppy. At times the posts may be a bit blunt. However, I saw none of the badmouthing you described; just fact stating as they saw it.

The opinions were aimed at breeding practice, non-standard breeding, breeding at what appears to be a commercial level, and using wire crates. These are all indicators of a basic puppy breeding business. If you are in the business, and rely on the income to eat, you have to make decisions much differently than if you are breeding to improve the breed, it's just a fact of life.

| Hello, I just wanted to put my two cents in regarding . THEY ARE GREAT!! Harley is a PERFECT example of the Yorkie breed. He has a beautiful thick black coat and is around 5 lbs. He is very healthy and happy. Very well temperment. He came to me that way from the breeder. Very good manners, smart, very handsome. He's good with kids, other dogs, other animals, has no chewing, barking, biting, peeing issues. I think the breeder did a great job socializing him. I can tell the are good breeders by his temperment and his health. If you have any questions regarding Yorkies or want to see picutres, see MySpace.com - HARLEY - 90 - Male - Los Angeles, California - www.myspace.com/harleymcfaddenrules |

| My name is Linsey and my grandparents own "Rolinn C Farms". I stumbled across this site and this post was on here and all of the negative things that were said was upsetting to me. They have been in the business for 5-6 years and take VERY good care of their dogs. I have been helping them since they started. Here is a little insite of a typical day that my grandparents do for these puppies and their breeding dogs. Every morning (unless its too cold or too hot or even rainy), they take them out of their pens and let them play out in a fenced in yard. We keep the Yorkies and chihuahuas in separate yards. The smaller puppies are kept in a area inside the kennel on the floor so they can get some "exercise". I also seen were someone posted something about the "mixed breeds". We DO NOT mix breeds on purpose. The dogs sometimes climb the fences sparating the different breeds and it happened on accident. We havent had this happen in a VERY long time. After the day is over, they are put in their sparate pins with a blanket in each pen. The kennel is equipped heat and AC and a humidifier. We give them "jerky treats" at the end of each day for being good dogs. Im not saying that our kennel is the best out there by no means. Im just clearing the air by stating the truth. We love our dogs very much and are blessed to have them. All of my cousins (including me) play with the puppies everytime were over there. I can ASSURE you that they are well taken care of. Please take this into consideration before posting something that is negative. Thank you for taking the time to read this. |

Thank you so much for giving insight to your grandparent's bussiness. I'm sure they love their dogs and care for them well. However, those two things do not make up a breeder that is breeding correctly.
