I got in a fight with a pitbull today :O

I got in a dogfight with a pit bull today. He was in the midst of pouncing on Eddie, and the only thing that came to mind was to pounce on him. Miraculously, I won. Eddie didn't get hurt. And we all walked away nervous but unhurt.

It was one of those situations I've heard described here on YT many times. Funny, when others described it, something in the back of my mind always thought "You know, it might have been avoided if ..." But it's been 10 hours since the attack, and...

Yes, I sold her out due to peer pressure. And I'm none too proud of it.

First, some context: I stopped apologizing for my Yorkies long ago. I'm a big guy, and people, especially guys, frequently tease me about owning little dogs.

I feel guilty sometimes posting pictures of adorable Eddie and bragging about each and every one of his accomplishments here. He's a good dog, but he's not the superdog that I sometimes portray him to be.

Eddie has dog aggression issues and has toy hoarding tendencies. Although he's airborne or neck deep in snow in the pictures I post, he's always been a little overweight and his athletic ability is very average for a Yorkie. On unleashed walks, untrained Lucy and lightly trained...

Eddie got a nice compliment today at nose work class that I thought I'd preserve in a blog for memory's sake.

Normally, the people we run into in different classes are big-dog people. And not just big-dog people, but diehard big-dog people.

Once, a woman looked at Eddie and blurted out, "I could NEVER own a dog like that. They're just not sturdy enough." I was a little put off. I didn't ask for her opinion and didn't care either.
