| ![]() How often do you all brush and comb your yorkies ![]() Specialy those who have yorkies with long coat, and with wooly/cottony coat! I have a cottony yorkie whom is getting long coat, im not gonna cut him short again, just let his coat grow out ![]() Dont know if I should just brush and comb his coat after bath (thats every 5-7 days) or every day? And if you brush them every day, do you spray some conditioner on the coat before, or do you wet it before? if so how, with a spray bottle or do you put them in the bath tub, wet them, blowdry them and brush? What do you guys do??

| ![]() Zhoie is a cotton coat and she gets tangles/knots in her coat every single day. I mist her coat with Ice on Ice everynight before bed and brush out her tangles. Sometimes, we have to cut them out, especially where her legs rubs. If I waited a week, she would have to be shaved down. ![]()

| ![]() I think owner's of silky coats can get by with less brushing, don't think there coats tangle so much. But my cotton girl mats pretty bad daily, especially where clothes rub. She is a freezy butt in the winter and needs a t-shirt daily and usually a nightie gown at night. Ice on Ice is a Chris Christensen product. It a leave in conditioning spray that detangles and has suncreen. There is a lot of other leave in conditioners out there too. this is just what I'm using at the moment.

| ![]() I use Ice on Ice and like it a lot. I also like the Yorkie Sheen by Walnut Hill. I like the way the Yorkie Sheen smells.

| ![]() Brandy Girl has a cotton coat and when it is not short I have to comb her every day. I use just a cheap 99 cent comb and it doesn't take long if I do it every day. If I wait a few days, she gets a few tangles. I love my baby girl's cotton coat and it is worth it to spend a few minutes every day to keep her tangle free. |

| ![]() They really do look a lot alike don't they? I've been using the Ive San Bernard. I love the Pek but for a leave in conditioner I've made up a mix that they recommend of several products mixed with water. I'm not overwhelmed. The best combination I've come up with for bathing is Minksheen shampoo and Pek as the conditioner. I usually mix the pek with another of their conditioners. I just haven't found a spray for brushing that I really like. I'm kind of a product addict. I'm not surprised though, I have a whole collection for myself. I've even used some of them on him. I'm definately cotton coated myself. ![]() Are you talking about the Blingees? The ones with sparkles? Just go to Blingee.com and you can edit your photos. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

| ![]() I have mine groomed every other week and I groom them the off week. My groomer told me that after I brush them to always go through their hair with a comb after. I find that I catch little gnarls that way before they become mats.

| ![]() Thanks for the answers!! I'm gonna check out that Ice on Ice ![]() Is CC Ice On Ice a foam? do I mix it with water ![]() How long does one bottle last? Just wandering cause its so expensive here in Iceland :S It costs about 50-65 dollars for me to buy their shampoo, so I wanna be sure before I buy it ! ![]() When I groom him, I use Pet Silk Mountainberry shampoo and conditioner. When I'm brushing the coat I use PS Rainforest Leave-in Conditioner, I like it but i hate the smell, its so strong and I have sensetive lungs, so it ''hurts'' when i spray him with it, so, now I've been mixing some conditioner to water and using that, it doesnt work as well. I use steel comb, a pinbrush, and a pig hair brush ![]() I use the pinbrush when I'm just brushing the coat, when I know there arent any matts in it , then I use the pighair brush for the finishing touch ![]() Also, the pig hair brush is AMAZING when I'm blowdrying him, it makes the coat get dry much sooner, and it makes his coat more ''natural'' looking, and more shiny, I use it sometimes when I spray conditioner in the coat, I spray it in the brush instead and then brush the dog all over, I think it works the best ![]() I put plastic bands in his topknot, and sometimes wrap it.
