How often do you all brush and comb your yorkies

Specialy those who have yorkies with long coat, and with wooly/cottony coat!
I have a cottony yorkie whom is getting long coat, im not gonna cut him short again, just let his coat grow out
Dont know if I should just brush and comb his coat after bath (thats every 5-7 days) or every day?
And if you brush them every day, do you spray some conditioner on the coat before, or do you wet it before? if so how, with a spray bottle or do you put them in the bath tub, wet them, blowdry them and brush?
What do you guys do??
