| ![]() I recently got a new pup, 9 weeks old. I have a large labradoodle currently. I like the little guy, he's cool and has some guts to fight with my larger dog. But, I am not gay, but feel I got a dog that connects to gay guys. I just don't wanna handle that stereotype, if it exists. Def would not let little man have the long hair. He does have an alternative home. Advice? Sad to ask, yea. |

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | ![]() Your kidding right? A yorkie does not mean you are gay. The yorkies are a very loving and loyal dogs and who cares what your friends think. He's gonna grow up and get bigger. How big depends on how big his parents were. You just need to keep and eye on him and your larger dog, you don't want to have any accidents. Keep your baby and enjoy him.

| ![]() How sad... Owning a yorkie does not make you gay. If you thought this, why would you have purchased the pup in the first place? I say, if you are willing to give up your dog because of the image he portrays... find him a better home. He deserves better! ![]()

YT Addict | ![]() What I wanna know is.. why do you care if people think you are 'gay' because you own a yorkie? Is there a problem with that stereotype? I mean, if a guy came to you because of your dog and asked you out, are you incapable of setting that record straight by saying no? lol Sorry if this seems blunt or forward and I really don't mean any offense, I just don't really understand what the problem is. I just hope that the dog isn't literally "fighting" with your other dog, and is just playing with it. Because if they are fighting that is a bad sign and should probably give the dog to the alternative home. Or if you are that worried about your image to other people because you own a yorkie (not to mention you can always say it's you're gf/wifes dog if it bothers you THAT much) then maybe you should rehome the dog to that alternative home and work on not caring what other people think of you. Because the issue is with the dog and not you, i.e. whether the dog is in a loving home that will love and care for it. If you provide that then that is all that matters, not someone thinking you are gay lol.

With that on your mind why would you even get the dog in the first place, Yorkies or any other small dog has nothing to do with if your gay or not... I would worry about letting the little dog fight with your bigger one. it only takes one bite from a bigger dog to kill such a small one. | |

| ![]() My boyfriend absolutely refused to let me get a Yorkie at first because they were "girly" dogs. No way was my big macho man going to be seen with a little 7lb puppy with clothes on. Turns out he's a bigger sap than I am and I can assure you he's NOT gay. Now I come home and he's cuddling on the couch with the puppies and baby talking them. He's even said that if he's ever single again he's keeping one of them because of all of the female attention he gets when we are out in public with the dogs. Not to mention that a labradoodle isn't quite the picture of a manly-man either.... ![]()
