Pigs are some of the most intelligent creatures on this planet, making them so sensitive - so to be tortured like this is just beyond my comprehension. But at the end of the day, I don't care if an animal is smart, not smart, cute, not cute - there is NEVER, EVER an excuse or a reason to treat another LIVING BEING cruelly. }

A brave MFA investigator has uncovered some of the most sadistic animal abuse we have ever seen at a Tyson Foods hog factory farm—a major Walmart pork supplier. The hidden-camera video footage was recorded at a Tyson contract farm in Oklahoma and shows the following:

*Workers viciously punching, kicking, beating, and violently shaking animals and pulling out their hair
*Piglets having their tails hacked off and their testicles ripped out of their bodies without painkillers
*Workers slamming conscious piglets headfirst against the ground and spiking them like footballs
*Pregnant pigs confined to tiny, maggot-infested gestation crates barely able to move for their entire lives
*Workers shoving their fingers into pigs’ eyes and hitting them with wooden boards
*Piglets left to suffer and slowly die on dead piles without proper veterinary care
*A worker throwing a heavy bowling ball at a pig’s head

Law enforcement is currently investigating and we are confident that the workers caught on video maliciously abusing animals will be arrested and convicted of criminal cruelty to animals.

But even after these workers are brought to justice, mother pigs and their piglets will continue to suffer unimaginable abuse at the hands of Tyson Foods.

In fact, some of the worst forms of cruelty we documented at this facility are considered standard and acceptable practice by Tyson, including locking mother pigs for their entire lives in cruel gestation crates barely larger than their own bodies.

Such inhumane confinement of these sensitive and intelligent animals leads to deprivation, injury, isolation, frustration, and depression.

This is the fourth investigation Mercy For Animals has conducted at a Walmart pork supplier. It’s clear that the time for the world’s largest retailer to demand change from its pork suppliers is now. This cruelty must end.

I don't eat red meat or pork & rarely eat chicken & turkey anymore...this makes me sick. On my way to work, I used to pass Farmer John factory in Vernon & saw pigs in trucks on their way to be made into sausages & bacon. I can see the terror in the pig's eyes...they used to peek through the holes. Why do these workers abuse them, what's wrong w/them.

Law needs to come down on animal cruelty at any facility, like a ton of bricks.....there are laws in place, and if the punishment for this activity is not tough enough, put teeth into the laws, enforce the laws, prosecute to the fullest extent of the laws....and leave people that eat meat alone with their diets!!!! Stop trying to make us all vegans and go after people that inhumanly treat and slaughter animals. There should be standards that must be adhered to for killing animals for human consumption. If anyone is not adhering to the standards for raising/ slaughtering animals, THEY should be dealt with rather than trying to convert over half the population that are carnivores into herbivores..

I don't think it's an ultimate agenda, it's merely a suggestion. The ULTIMATE agenda is to STOP CRUELTY TO INNOCENT ANIMALS....and that's a pretty dang good agenda in my book. You can eat anything you want, who cares, as long as you walk the walk and do SOMEthing/anything to not add to the cruelty of other creatures. Maybe buy cruelty free meat? Refuse to buy pork from Walmart? Every little thing we do means something, no matter how small.

The investigation they did is a positive, impactful, and important thing. It brings attention to an area that needs it desperately. Remember too, that some animal LOVING human being(s) had to work at that facility to capture all of this, and witness these absolutely horrific acts...and human beings also had to edit this footage. I can only offer my deepest respect to those who are *willing* to partake in providing these awareness campaigns for us. Blessings to them.

I saw this what seems like a month ago.... These idiots ruin it for the ones that stick to the plan, raise them, sell them, so people can eat them. There's no reason or sense to mistreat these animals. I love meat, not giving it up! Treat our food humanely though, I like it tender, not tough. Improve housing systems by allowing sows of all sizes to stand, turn around, lie down, and stretch their legs;
Discontinue the practice of slamming piglets headfirst against the ground to kill them;
Manage pain during tail docking and castration of piglets;
Install video monitoring systems on farms to improve animal handling and increase oversight and worker accountability
