Thats the conclusion Ive came to also. It is one small way we can make a difference and all it takes is becoming conscious of where something you want to buy is made and not buying if it comes from China

My first boycott was against Burlington coat factory after 20/20 did a whole hidden cam from China animal cruelty to here in the states walking into stores and testing the fur to see if it was really rabbit (it was canine).

I'm not watching the video. I came to the conclusion already I try as much as realistically possible to avoid items from China. We spend more, but feel moe fulfilled and have less waste for the most part. I don't like plastic junk anyways or lead based paint etc furthermore I believe in sustaining local economy and in the least the American economy.

We falter at animal treatment as well I can no longer fully support PETA because of their extremest vegan, pro- petroleum based good vs sustainable natural materials from animals: but I ill enjoy my cage free organic non genetically altered grain fed antibiotic free local farm fresh chicken from the co-op etc. I may pay more vs foster farms but hey I sleep better at night (okay not really note the time on this posting).

Any who I hope someday we'll all be responsible care takers of the planet and all living creatures, I eat meat I see no need to be cruel in my carnivorous nature though, I wear leather not fur-if you do please wear the coat of an animal you eat and let's use it all wasting not. Maybe someday the local buy everything big box will practice these ideas with shelves of made to last America manufactured goods...if we don't buy it they won't sell it...off my goat soap box and off to sleep.

I can't watch it. I have seen some before and the images run through my head forever. I can't sleep and it seems to be all I can think about. I had to stop reading the comments here even as people started to describe what I didn't want to see and that alone has images running through my head and tears streaming down my face.

I am more than happy to sign anything against it though as I know how terrible it is there.

I've decided to go 30 days no matter the cost without purchasing any products from China. So much comes from there, and there are so many reasons NOT to support their economy due to environmental, humanitarian, animal rights, politics etc.
Going to keep a little journal on it.
Think after 30 days this may become permanent...

i was watery eyed from the start and as soon as i saw the dog skinned... the tears flooded out. i'm not a totally crazy person usual as far as not eating meat, or not buying down blankets, etc. but i might just be now after watching that.

i've seen some slaughter videos that were graphic, but this one topped the cake. i can not even imagine skinning that dog or seeing those dogs in crates jam packed and not having one sorry feeling like those chinese men. if i was one of those workers... one look at the sad eyes would kill me inside.

i bet even after being skinned if someone had petted him he would have tried wagging his tail. or is someone tried petting the cat or dog in the tiny crate they would have tried to lick you. animals are so so so forgiving and will do anything to love us. so why can't people see that, and be touched enough to love them back and stop this madness!

Got through about 10 seconds and when they showed a dog in a little cage, I had to turn it off. I'm not as bothered by images of cats. Yes yes they are animals too I know, I'm just not as easily upset by seeing images of cats. Don't know why. Obviously I do not support any of that on any animal. That's horrible, but when dogs are shown, oh my gosh, the water works just open up!

It haunted me since I watched it and posted it here and still does. I don't even know how you realized it was a cat. I didn't know what it was.

If people knew what goes on in other countries, even in our own country. Right now we are fighting the BSL, where states as well as other countries are confiscating Pitbulls whether they are dangerous or not and killing them. Imagine having a dog 5 years and the dog never having a complaint and you were a responsible owner. Had him neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and NEVER one complaint and the gov. comes into your home and forcibly removes your dog and kills it. It's happening guys.

Right here in our states, shelters are still using gas chambers for euthizing animals. They say it's cheaper. They also claim humane, yet have you ever seen the inside of a gas chamber when they are done gassing? If you did, you'd know right away those animals didn't go peacefully.

Galos Spain, is Ethanizing their hunting dogs by placing sticks in their mouths to hold their mouths open so they cannot eat or drink and they linger this way god knows how long before they finally just die. It cost them no money, but it does cost. Those dogs suffer long lingering deaths.

I can go on and on, but the point is as hard as things are to read and watch we have to listen and we have to watch and we have to look at those disturbing pictures and read about it, as we are the only ones that can make the difference and fight for change. So, I ask each and everyone one of you to please don't turn your heads away in saddness but open your mouths, and use your pens to write your senator and fight for change and if in another country sign the petions circulating, write the embassy of that country intelligently and respectfully. We can all make a difference.

I was watching while the cat was hanging and was horrified at who would hang a cat and then taunt it by grabbing at it-that was before it was skinned alive and tossed into the bin of dozens more; slowly dying after suffering the same fate.


It took me about a good minute after the video ended to even register the reality of what I'd just seen, it was just so unbelievably detestable, cruel and vile.

I still can't fathom how someone can do that-to kill is one thing-this is another.

Common sense is apparently too hard to comprehend so we come up with all or nothing backwards solutions.

My dear friend has a pit that is over 100lbs therefore she is registered as an American Staff to protect her from confiscation and euthanasia.

A gentler dog I have never met in my life, she literally tip toes around my lil dogs to ensure she doesn't step on them; he however firmly believes in the controlled responsible breeding of pits and more over firmer regulations on who can and cannot own animals-period.

My dear friend has had many varying types of animals, he was one of the trainers I have constantly sought advice from in rehabilitating my rescue. He's convinced therefore so am I pit, staff & other bully breeds require specialty training & socialization.


I do believe that not only should pits be regulated in some form but that all pet ownership and breeding needs some form of regulation since we can't seem to do that ourselves as a society (be responsible) unfortunately when we leave it to the 'powers that be' to make last minute drastic actions based on public panic and out cry. Then we end up with this situation: animals being ripped out of their homes taken from responsible pet owners and euthanized.

I agree with what you say with regards to the pits. My feelings on the breed, as with any of the bully breeds is that anyone wanting to own one should have to be finger printed, criminal background checks run, and registered just as if you would own a gun. And, I further believe that they should have to take a pre-ownership class as well as be required to participate in training with the dog after and the dog should have to be registered with the owner. i also do not believe that breeding should be banned at least for the time being. There are too many in the shelters dying every day.

I missed the cat hanging. I have to be honest, I skipped through a lot of it. I got to the end after it was skinned and that was enough for me. I am still sick over it.

I stopped reading the posts here. I AGREE!! I AGREE! After seeing some disturbing vids on FB, my daughter and I vowed not to buy leather. I found a site that sells dog pelts from China. And let me tell you, Italy, US and Canada are customers. Dog is used on SHOES. Purses. Clothing. If it is animal from China, you can bet that animal suffered.

There are restaurants that allow you to choose a dog to eat. It is not because they are starving. It is some type of belief. The animal will pass it's strength onto the eater. Something like that. It is insane.

I have donated most of my leather to charity. Until I can replace some shoes with NON leather, I use them. I have cloth wallet and purse. Jackets with leather are GONE, for they were made in China.

I NO LONGER SUPPORT THAT PLACE. Or any country that is known to eat dogs and cats. That is just MY personal preference. But in a country where earthquake, Tsunami, typhoon can ravage their city and dogs are used to find family members, how can they repay that animal by eating them????!!

They should be taught to respect ALL life. Dogs. Cats. Bears. Tigers. Lions. If they kill all of the animals will they eat each other next?????

There was a news article, about 2 months ago, that hundreds of thousands of animals on the way to be slaughtered were rescued. The media had posted still images which I thought were shocking but this video is beyond belief.
