We did a little video on doing his favorite tricks with hand signals. These little ones are so sticking smart!!! When we put in the time to stimulate their brain it sure pays off. It's so rewarding seeing them learn <3 https://youtu.be/l0qwSiZ5Sk8

| Katy is doing pretty well with the Hoop Jump, Weaving 4 items, and our Tunnels. One of the Tunnels belongs to our cats, really cute when she runs through it. Today, I am hoping to start making some Pool Noodle Agility Fun Equipment! I have some ideas for a few pieces that I hope work out. These will be Teacup Sized and I can not wait to get started. I started Katy on Jumping (ok, so she is a baby, so 'jumping through' for her right now, means, coming through a hoop that sits on or is an inch or so, off the floor, but still cute, and still met with much enthusiasm Ha Ha) Anyway, I started her on a Covered Hoop....and all that means at this point is less than 1/2 of her Hoop is covered in newspaper.....and right through she came. I have taught a few dogs (like 10) to do this as well as a Guinea Pig. It's a cute way to end a little set up. I don't think I will ever do anything but have fun at home and show Katy off in videos.....but man! SHE IS SO DANGED SMART! AND EASY TO TRAIN! Please tell me more about your Mike and Cody......and please, everyone, tell us about tricks and tasks your Yorkies do.....encourage us! |

| I also made three of these hoops and glued them together (turns out, they are just a bit different in size, but it will work ok) to make the 'Open' part of a Closed Tunnel. Just a small one for fun. I will cut some fabric tomorrow and see if I can get the 'Closed' part made up and on the 'Open' end. |

| I got the 'Open' end of the Closed Tunnel made: Today I hope to make the 'Chute', a St. Pat's Day Dress/Harness, and a little Hiking Coat with Barbie sized backpacks on each side. We are doing a Family Hike and Cook Out....YES! In the cold! Here's a photo of the OPEN part of the Tunnel. https://dogstarkennel.com/?action=Ph...ort=1&id=11927 |

Yes, you are so right, it comes in handy especially when we are outside. Besides, the commands, Mike's favorite words are of course 'food', 'run' and 'ball' I've been trying to teach him to collect his toys into a basket, but so far he doesn't want to learn it. Because he knows it's my job to collect his toys and his job it to take them out

| Wow you are all so amazing with your yorkies and so impressive! We took Bella to Pet Smart last year for her training classes, puppy, intermediate and advanced. She really enjoyed listening to the Trainer (his voice sounded like the Dog Whisperer), she really paid attention and enjoyed her dog socializations (however she didn't like dogs that were bigger than her of course, she moved away from them, only small dogs she liked). I think maybe it's the chemistry in dogs that make them friendly to each other? Anyways she enjoyed doing her short homework videos and we sent to the Trainer each week. It was a lot of fun to watch her work towards her home work in action and, (with treats of course). But now with the long Canadian cold winter weather and staying indoors more often we didn't keep up with her training and exercises. You have all given me an incentive, knowledge and tools to keep up the fun and bonding to do indoors. We plan to enroll Bella to get her Novice Trick Title and learn Agility and Trick Trick Training courses at Pet Smart in the Spring. Thank you all so much for showing your pictures and Videos. Your lovely and loving Yorkies are so Clever and Amazing to watch! Please keep showing them, hands clapping here! |
