| Katy is NOT afraid or fearful....however, the little Toy Piano kinda freaks her out a little. So all I have her do with it, right now, is 'Sit' in front of it for a cookie. THIS she does well. It's not the noise of the keys, that she does not care about. Smells?, perhaps. But it has been cleaned.....and thankfully we finally got the stickers off the top of it. Probably the reason I only paid a few dollars for the Piano. Ha Ha The Hula Hoop.....SHE LOVES THAT THING! No. I have not found a smaller one yet, and that's ok. I have her 'Sit', then run through it, then 'Sit' on the far side. She sometimes gets a reward/cookie at that point. Then I have her 'Back', doing the same in Reverse. THAT is when she usually gets her Reward. Cones.....She is too focused on my hand (w treat inside) and not focused enough on the Cones themselves. So I started her on leash weaving, with the cones set a good ways apart. With these too, I have her start and finish in a Sit.....I will probably never participate in Agility Events, just for fun. I laughed at myself (again). It's been a while since I have had a puppy.....you forget all the little things they are picking up, learning, learning words, you take all this for granted. THIS puppy has caught on very well to life here. Ha Ha One time I had a dog that knew a LOT of tricks and such, I sat down and wrote down all of the Human Words she knew. I am sure I did not get them all. It filled a page of paper. I should say MOST, most of the words, commands and cues she knew, I am sure she knew more than I even knew she knew. <laughs at how smart animals really are> I should be keeping a list with Katy's learning like this.....truth, I probably won't. |

| LOL, soon you will find yourself spelling words so Katy won't pick up on the words she knows. Just like toddlers, you think because they are playing they are not listening, then one day they say a word that you did not teach them. These yorkies are just like toddlers, they are very smart lol.

| Yes they do end up knowing what we spell lol, my pack of 3 learned many words I spelled out when I talked on the phone lol. If I had ppl over I had to write things on paper so the dogs wouldn't hear the word / words lol.

I should say, I will however, keep a list of the Tricks that Katy learns in the Trick Book I have used for years and have different dogs names in there with what Tricks they did....and some, (still alive) do. I HIGHLY recommend this. You forget through the years. When you train a lot of animals, it is also nice to keep that list, to remember who does what. | |

| What a great video, Katy is just tooooo cute. She's doing good on the piano for a wee lil baby. At her age it's hard to get them focused on you, all they want to do is play and get into mischief as shown by your floor LMBO. Your GS is beautiful. Thank you for sharing

| We did another little video. You can see Katy Jump Thru A Hoop and Play Piano at the end. I had my husband show How To Make a small Hoop for Trick Use out of Repurposed Wire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBsyQMCnkaI |

| Thanks. I have started a list of her....tricks and, let's call them, 'actions'. Like when we come into the house, she "whirls her feet" around the Sun Room, then at the door, I say, "Places", and she 'Sits' next to my GSD. When the door opens she has to "Wait" for the command to come into the house. SHE DOES GREAT. Mostly w/o being told now. It is funny how, we as owners, overlook the words and actions the dogs learn in everyday life. We just assume these....as we should. But the dogs SHOULD <winks> get credit for learning them. We have changed up how I am teaching her to 'weave' the cones. THIS is going better now. She's pretty good at it, but not great yet. 'Playing Piano' IS HER FAVORITE! She is getting that she has to move her feet and make more than just the noise from putting feet up on the Keyboard. She is also learning 'Sit Up'. Just started this today. THIS should go fast. She has done this as a Natural thing since we picked her up. I just wanted her to have 'Sit' learned well first. And let her backbone grow a bit. |

| We are going to make her a "Teeter Totter", not to be confused with a "Sea Saw". We are hoping to do another video after she learns this. For those of you that do not know, a Teeter Totter has a VERY small pivot point. The Sea Saw has a larger pivot. |

| Sounds like Katy is a busy lil girl learning so many things quickly. It's so much fun teaching puppies commands and little tricks and so rewarding when we see our hard work and patience are working. There is nothing cuter then seeing a wee lil dog obeying commands and doing tricks. Showing ppl tiny dogs are not just "lap dogs". Keep up the good work mom
