| I made Gabby a new dress Actually I made 2 that are identical. Not sure what I'll do with the other one. This is stretch velvet and slips over the head. It's lightweight and comfy and she LOVES it! No buttons or velcro (not a big fan of velcro). I think I'm gonna go make her some more

| Wow, that's beautiful and what a wonderful idea to had it slip on. I looks so soft and comfy I bet these could be made out of any stretch material. Did you use a pattern? I'd like to make Zhoie some nighties that stretch and no velcro. I tend to think, velcro can't be to comfy at their bellies all day/night long.

| Many moons ago I designed bridal gowns. I took a sabbatical from sewing for 2 years and just now getting back into it (thanks to the GE). I don't really use patterns. I make my own according to the measurements of the dog and depending on what I'm making exactly. I tend to get a better fit this way. I, too, prefer the slip on style dresses over the velcro. Gabby's hair gets tangled in velcro and she hates the sound of it.

And I dont use patterns very often. I don't care for them. I prefer to make my own. My grandma taught me how years ago to save money (she was on a limited budget).

| Oooh! I have those too! I LOVE them. The polycetal resin snaps last forever and are a breeze with a snap machine! Funny you mention those! All of my babies were cloth diaper babies! I made SOOO many diaper covers it's scary!
