| DFW Yorkie needs new home. We must surrender our 3 yr old female in the DFW area. She needs to be in a home where she will receive most of the attention, and is an only pet. She is the perfect lap sitter, great disposition. Just a real snuggler. Minnie is a regular size in perfect health and about 8lbs. All shots up to date, spayed & has been on heartworm preventative from puppyhood. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I'm so sorry you need to rehome your yorkie. Do you have pictures you can post of her? usually that helps getting them adopted faster.

| She needs to be rehomed because she has taken a serious dislike to our 11yr old mini schnauzer. We also have a 4 yr old mini schnauzer she gets along fine with. We thought it was a phase and would get better, it hasn't. We have no idea why this developed. It came out of the blue and is not diminishing. She is a very sweet girl and this breaks our hearts. I do have pics but being new to this forum, have no idea how to post them. |

| Just sent you a private message. Can you e-mail some pictures? I gave you my e-mail address in the pm. We also have schnauzers and that is real sad that had to happen. |

| Yes she was seen a couple of months ago. She was diagnosed with liver shunt disease, but we've been giving her milk thistle and she has improved dramatically. |

| We are not charging a rehoming fee. We want her to be in as loving an environment as we have given her. I still believe she needs to be an " only" furry baby. |

*If and When* you find a wonderful family for her, you can discuss a small rehoming fee, that you could even donate towards a Reputable Yorkie Rescue in your area A small rehoming fee will ensure that she WILL be taken care of... Liver Shunt - There are lots and lots of Liver Shunt babies here on YT. Also, here is a wonderful support group for Liver Shunt babies: DogLiverDisease : Dog Liver Disease Please join, they have so much knowledge and experience to help guide you with the proper care, diet and supplements for your Schnauzer Last edited by TLC; 05-12-2009 at 12:31 PM. | |

| I am confused as to who has liver shunt? Is it the Yorkie that you are trying to rehome or the 11 yr old schnauzer? I have never heard of milk thistle curing liver shunt is this a homeopathic remedy? This is interesting that you would see improvement as it is normally corrected with surgery.

Ok that makes sense to me then. I am wondering if maybe the little yorkie can sense that the schnauzer is sick and that is why she is attacking him? I was just talking to a rescue friend and one of her girl will attack when there is a sick animal in the house. Sad to see that she needs to be rehomed.

lfcarrollton - was your schnauzer just recently diagnosed with liver disease and did your yorkie start showing the aggression towards the schnauzer when he started getting sick?
