| These poor babies! (Texas) I came across this ad while looking for supplies: Hello everyone, meet Captain and Teneille! Love will keep them together! If there were ever a bonded pair, it's these two. They have to stay together. The hair/skin issues is likely flea dermatitis plus over-breeding & stress. This should improve now that they've both been spayed/neutered. They adore each other . They've lead a hard life till now. Obviously used as breeder dogs and forcing poor Tenielle to whelp one litter after another. They are currently in boarding and really need a foster home where they can be just dogs! They want to be be able to play and run and have fun, something they've been deprived of all their lives. They are tiny and will not take up much room at all...so won't you open your heart and home and offer them a place to live till they are adopted? 280.00 (for the pair) adoption fee applies and includes : spay/neuter, vaccine, microchip Adorable Yorkie Pair (foster or Adopt) - The Woodlands Texas Pets Classifieds on Woodlands Online |

| Poor little dears ! That is so heartbreaking and makes me sick to my stomach. At least they will be able to find new homes. They are so cute and look happy now that they are out of that terrible place. How could a person looking for a dog say no to those little faces. |

| omg.. well there was a thread that got closed yesterday and this woman was looking for inexpensive.. instead of her being told the rules with a copy and paste.. I sure wish people would lead them to yorkies like this in need.. if people really do care about the yorkies.. then I think more people should rally around those that cannot afford the initial price of a new yorkie.. and send them in the direction of those in need... But when stomped on like this.. new people do not come back.. and I feel that by doing this.. it sometimes is an injustice to yorkies as in the loveable pair.. Personally what better way to find a yorkie to take in then a place with how many thousand yorkie lovers.. I do hope some on will take these little ones in and give them the love they deserve.. anne |

| These poor babies! (Texas) It is my experience that any people who cannot afford the initial price and/or adoption fee on a yorkie simply cannot afford a yorkie. Before I would attempt to lead someone like that to free yorkies, I would find out if they were aware of the fact that yorkies have many needs that can end up being quite costly. I cannot count the number anymore of discarded yorkies that people cannot afford to care for properly. Those two had flea dermatitis according to what was said; but it could have been something else that might have cost money that they could not afford. Just my opinion. L |

| Well I have always wanted a Yorkie, But I couldnt afford to pay a 1000. and most likely more then that. I was lucky to have one given to me. he was 16 months old and he is loved and spoiled rotton... he has whatever he needs and more.. IF there was medical care needed for my baby he would have it . So there are some of us out here that take excelent care of our babies even though we could not have afforded a high price for one.. |

Thanks for posting.. people have to be aware to the fact there are real people out there that want cheap pricing.. or free.. and are some times better to their yorkies.. then the people that spend the huge dollars..I know a breeder who when she is finished with her breeding females asks like 750. for them.. to me.. they gave her lots.. finding a loving home is to me more important with those types of dogs.. so there really is all kinds of us out there.. anne

| I am very fortunate that my Yorkie is healthy at least now .. As I said before If something happened and he needed medical care he would have it.. I do have a decent job, I do pay my bills. IN fact I also have a part time job ..No I couldnt justify putting out 1000 dollars for a yorkie when I have other obligations that come first, BUT now that he is here I take care of him.. I do not mean that taking care of him is feeding him.. I mean whatever HE NEEDS.I also have established good credit so If I had to I would use it to do what I have to do. And I am sure there are plenty of people just like me.. I know there are some that dont take there pets to the vets for anything unfortunitly and dont take care of grooming.. and dont feed them the best of foods.. MY BABIES COME FIRST And I really dont like coments that put everybody in the same catagory. |

| It is a shame that someone posted something on here as pure bait! I'm confused, are you saying that I "posted something on here as pure bait?" |

| These poor babies That sounded like bait to me! Sorry, I did not quote it previously. I mean why post something expecting a response?? I said how I feel about all of it and I think you all understand now where I am coming from. Perhaps I misunderstood? Dont' know. L |

While you may do what it takes which is wonderful, unfortunately many will not. Rescue fees do two things...they weed out people who absolutely cannot afford and we all know that yorkies can be high maintenance. Yes, you are fortunate that yours are healthy. Not all are...and accidents also can happen. It sounds like you are a good parent who has thought ahead and would do what it takes. It saddens me to tell you that it is not always the case. The other thing rescue fees do is support the entire concept....rescues have to get money to care for the sicker yorkies. That is why the fees for the younger, healthier ones are always more. And, trust me, it takes a lot more than adoption fees to care for some of the issues we get! L

Like it is.. many many pay the bigger prices for yorkies and do not spend the money on their needs.. so I guess I agree with you but did want to say it goes both ways..I have seen this over the years.. and I am not young chicken at all.. so years of seeing both sides has not made me bitter towards people.. anne
