| I think it works wonders. I get the detangler and just rub a "bit" into the mat and comb it away. You can buy it at any PetsMart that has a horse section, most tack shops sell it. Go to http://www.Cowboymagic.com. They have a link where you can search for retailers in your area. I have not purchased it online, so I will leave that part of the question to someone else to answer.

My furkids Donating Member | I was having this problem with Lillie, is has a long soft coat that would matt terribly! I rub the cowboy magic into her hair and us a slicker brush on her. If I see an area that has a bad matt, I put a drop of CM right on the matt and rub it between my fingers, then brush..I take small sections of hair and brush from the ends in...this helps with pulling. I will usually do this when she is sleepy. I put her on my lap and brush away. It usually takes me about 2 hours to brush her out. Good Luck!

| Cowboy magic is great!!! I just love it. My maltese gets matted easier than Benji and the cowboy magic helps a lot. Also, there are combs that work really well to get the matts out. Villette recommended one to me at the YT meetup and I went and purchased one and it is amazing. I am not sure what it is called but it is a comb with two different size prongs. I hope this helps you out.

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I love the detangle and shine for matts but i do not recommend the shampoo and conditioner IMO it does nothing for them but that detangler works miracles!

| I have no idea where you can buy it online. I bought my cowboy magic at PetSmart. I bought the comb at a feed store. I think it is called a dematting comb or something like that. Sorry. I tried finding the packaging that it came in but I have no idea where it is. Here is a picture so you know what you are looking for when you go to the store.
