| Owies on Milli! What are they? I noticed these marks on Milli's lower belly a week or two ago, but thought she just got scratched on her tummy outside. Well, now there are more of them, and they are red with other little dots around them...what are they, and how do I get rid of them? Are they flea bites? Or is this an allergic reaction to getting her "hoo hoo" tickled by the grass? I don't think they hurt her, because she doesn't care if I touch the area or not. Here's a pic of her tummy (it's kind of up close and personal )

| So can she have flea bites on her even though she's on Frontline and doesn't have any fleas that I've ever seen? Do they just live in the grass? Why are these JUST on her lower belly?

| hmm It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but are they like a darkish red almost brick color? zoey sometimes gets a spot like that down by her little hooha and so does Ada(Paula's sisters yorkie). I have never been concerned because she doesn't itch or seem bothered by it.

| Tucker gets those on his belly too. They are an allergic reaction to something. First they are red and raised up like a pimple and then they flatten and turn dark and finally just flake off. I give him Benadryl when he gets them to prevent him from getting anymore. They never seem to bother him. I am thinking it has something to do with the grass because they only seem to appear where the grass would touch his belly.

How much does Tucker weigh? Do you give him the full dose of Benadryl for that? If so, how much do you give him for this? I give Emma Benadryl for upper respiratory allergies, but not for skin stuff. Do you think the dosage would be the same? Also, she's 6 lbs, and Milli's only 4...?

| Okay, I'm an idiot. I had Benadryl on the mind because I had just posted some info on Benadryl dosages. I give my little Lily Benadryl. I tried it with Tucker but it wasn't working so my vet gave me Temaril for his allergies. Its usually used for coughing and itching but can also be used for allergic dermatitis. He is about 9-10 pounds and he gets a whole tablet every other day but only as needed. If I can catch them when they look like a pimple, I put Hydrogen Peroxide on them which really seems to help.
