| What brand of puppy food do you recommend? Hi All, I am new to own a yorkie. I have another maltese puppy which is also a toy. I would like to see what you guys recommend for food. Currently, I switched from Royal Caine to Wellness since a member in the forum suggested me to do so. Did I make the right choice? Also, would you recommend using any supplements? Thank you! |

| Lots of people pefer wellness, My dog would not eat it, I honestly think the kibble was too big , she just hated it. I switched to Eagle Brand Hollistic Select puppy it has tiny kibble for tiny dogs... Laci loves it and since she is teething she doesnt have to bite it to much.. Wellness is a great food ! |

| Thanks for your comments. Malese has a bit a problem with new food since she just went doing her thing all over the floor when I was asleep this morning. And believe me, it wasn't easy, it's the watery type not dry.... My yorkie has been doing good after I switched the food yesterday, she doesn't seem to have any digest problem any more, hooray!!!! Hopefully Piano can get used to it soon.... |

| Innova I feed Innova...it's made w/all natural, and holistic, ingredients w/no corn....Apple tolerates it extremely well...The innova puppy dry has very small bites, and I free feed it, and she doesn't over eat...Also, her stools are perfect (if you can call a stool perfect lol)...She came to me on Eukanuba, and I switched over slowly, and all went well... | I feed Wellness Just for Puppies and both of the girls do very well on it. I like it as it is rated high and makes little poo. Yeh team! I tried Royal Canin but didn't like the rating then tried Eagle Brand but it felt greasy to me and Chloe Primrose was really packing on the weight so I switched to Wellness. I did like the size of Eagle kibble tho. |

| i feed nature's variety raw medallions. you can check out their website to learn more about it if you are interested. Nature's Variety i tried many diff. foods with milu, she is SO picky. this food is not her favorite, but i pick it because i believe it's healthier for her. i also feed her kibbles as well. i feed her taste of the wild kibbles. | I am feeding my puppies Royal Canin. I just switched them from the RC Babydog 30 to the Mini Puppy 33. It is a fairly good food and I love the tiny triangular shape -- perfect for tiny mouths and preventing choking. I can also find it local which is a big plus for me. I also give them one feeding a day of Canidae All Life Stages canned Chicken & brown rice for added meat content. Mine do not seem to have any problem with the corn content of the Royal Canin. I used to be very paranoid about corn as an ingredient. Then I had to make due with an alternate food when I was waiting for an order to come by Fedex. It had corn and all my dogs did just fine on it. So, I decided to not let it be a problem unless I saw some sort of reaction or skin and coats less than optimum. So far they are all doing beautifully.

Huh, my yorkie and maltese are not picky on food, which is so opposite to many yorkie owners here. I can't believe that you have to feed boiled chicken.....wow.....But if there is the best food money can buy (if I can figure out what it is), I will pay for it. | |

| Wellness and Innova are GREAT foods for your pups. Innova cannot be found at Petco pr Petsmart but if you go to their website (The Healthiest Pet Foods in the World – Natural & Organic Pet Food – Natura Pet Products) you can find a store that carries it near you. Good luck
