Hi there..I'm also a pet-parent to a yorkie and a maltese. How old are your little ones? My yorkie is 9 months and my maltese is just short of 5 months. I've been feeding them Royal Canin puppy food. At first they were both eating Nutro small bites, mixes with Nutro chicken, lamb and rice from the can. We then started to give them Iams....which is a bad choice...they ate it only if it was mixed with ground up boiled chicken and the canned nutro food. We then started to switch over to Royal Canin puppy, and they like that much better. They will eat that dry. We will sometimes mix in Nature's Variety Raw Chicken Medallions with the Royal Canin. I would suggest you see how they do with whatever you are feeding them now. As far as supplements....you may want to ask your vet for any recommendations.
