| Teething I have been gone over the weekend and my mom watched my baby and told me that she had diarehha and lost one of her teeth. Is this normal? Also she has 2 rows of teeth, it looks as if the new ones have grown in behind the baby teeth. Im wondering if I should call the vet because of the diarreha?? Also is there anything else I can do besides the frozen teething toys for her????? Thanks...

| It's very normal for them to lose baby teeth. That said, I don't think it's all that normal to have diarrhea with teething (although I know human babies do). The diarrhea is probably just a stress reaction from being away from you. If she has two rows of teeth, the vet usually has to pull some of the baby teeth for you.

the diarehha is probably from your little one being stressed out, if it continues i would cook up some white rice and hamburger meat for her. As far as the teeth go, puppies will either swollow their baby teeth, or just fall out, fiona lost all but 1 baby tooth before her spay, and the vet will usually extract any remaining baby teeth at spay time.

| Thank you guys for the replies. So it is normal for there to be two rows, one of baby teeth and one of new teeth. The baby ones are really loose and shes not eating much of her dry dog food, so Im hoping she will eat wet food tonight.

| Ice cubes, ice cubes with kibble frozen into them, bully sticks, and lots of tug-of-war.... those are the best things we've come up with as Nikko is going through the meat of his teething experience. Lauren & Nikko |
