| Questions about my Abby Hello, ok my Abby has been with us since sunday. Today is Thrusday and she has only pooped twice since coming home. The pooped Sunday night and then again on Tuesday afternoon. Is this normal??? Another thing is that when she wakes up, she sticks her tongue out, licks around it n makes noise (like someone who doesn't chew right). Is this since she just woke up? Cuz if i try to give her water or food she won't take it. I took her to the vet on Monday n he said everything seemed fine n we have to go back next Monday for her shot. Anyway i was just wondering if my ?'s above were able to be answered cuz im a little concerned. Thanks |

as for the noises after she wakes up, i'm not quite sure... sometimes Kash makes a suckling noise but i don't think anything of it. i don't think you need to worry too much about that. good luck!

| Abby is 2.5 months old. She hasn't been eating alot but starting yesterday she has been eating significantly better. I'm thinking that could be it too, there's nothing for her to poop. I hope she poops today. |

| The noises, could they be a dry tounge/mouth smacking noise?? Pepper does this every time she wakes up just like my husband. It took pepper about 3-5 days to become accostmed to us and our house, then she took over.

| I dont think she's eating it. I still have her in her cage with a wee wee pad on the bottom at all times. Usually when she pooped n i picked it up, there was like a smudge on the pad so im sure there wud b one if she was eating it. I just want to make sure its ok for her to not poop as much since she is just adjusting to us and all n hasn't really been eating much. |

| As Far As The Not Pooping Thing.... My Sammy Came Home A Week Ago And She Only Pooped Twice In Four Days And The Vet Asked Me How She Was Eating And I Told Him Not Very Much. He Said When She Gets Adjusted She Will Eat More And Poop More. If They Arent Eating Much Then They Wont Poop. She Is All Good With Pooping Now. She Is Eating Good Too. Hopefully Its Just The Transition.

| thanks so much for ur responses i feel better now. i really do hope its the transition cuz im ready to pull my hair out. i feel like sometimes cuz i think im gonna come home from work n find her dead cuz of starvation (knock on wood)cuz she doesn't even eat the kibbles AT ALL. I try handfeeding them, wetting them, choppin them up and she still won't, but then again my boyfriend says "Abby's only 2.1 lbs how much cud u possibly want her to eat??!!!" i then realize he's right n then calm down. Plese tell me it will get better |

| betcha that before you know it she will be pooping all over the house then you will be asking for help with potty training. she'll adjust, do you have any other dogs, pepper will suddenly feel like eating when the other dogs start eating out of her little bowl.

| get nutristat.. its a supplement that I used w/ Roxi when she 1st came home and was fussy.. They can get dehydrated fairly easily so you do need to watch her throughout the day, and give her a little on the tip of your finger... Good luck XX

| is that like nutri-cal? cuz i have that to give her but she's the only dog i no of that doesn't like. i have to kinda force it on her "lips" so she cud just lick it cuz she moves her head in every which way to avoid having to eat it... weird |
