| Vomiting??? advice needed please Hiya, I wondered if I could ask for some advice. Yesterday morning when I went down to treacle there was a pile of yellow frothy vomit on the floor, bile-no food. I thought perhaps she had eaten somethin the day before that had upset her so just kept an eye on her. She was her normal self all day, ate all her meals and more, and was as lively as always. This morning when I went down I found exactly the same thing??? Has anyone got any ideas why she should vomit like this?? I did wonder if i was mistaking urine for bile but urine (in humans anyway) only usually gets frothy and that strong looking if they are dehydrated, which I know she isnt?? I would be really grateful for any advice. She appears ok'ish in herself, bit clingy to me but thats the only difference. Thanks as always Treacles Mummy |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't know what to tell you...I know my girls occasionally ...very occasionally throw up...but I feel if you keep seeing this maybe try gradually changing the food and see if that helps ? IF you keep seeing this I would def call the vet. Good luck |

| I guess my question would be, what are you feeding her and how often? Do you leave a bowl of dry kibble down? Some of these little ones will throw up if they do not have food or the food is to rich for their systems.

| i'm wondering the same thing myself 'cause bunjee also throws up yellow/green bile. not every morning tho, more like once every 2 weeks or so and usually first thing in the morning. he'll wake up, stretch, then start heaving. i just pat his back and hold a towel under him to catch the vomit. it's bile only, no food. but he's otherwise eating well and playing normally. the vet had done a panel of blood tests just to make sure he's okay and everything came back normal. so i'm at a loss. bunjee's 6 months old as of yesterday. but when he was younger (like 3 months or so) he used to throw up more often during the day with food. but usually because he's drinking water too fast. sorry i can't be more helpful, but if all else fails, check with your vet. who knows, it might be as normal as cats and their hairballs. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali does the exact same thing as Bunjee. I'm waiting to hear the biopsy results to see if she has irritable bowel.

| Lucy, our pug, does this because her daddy insists on giving her rawhide chews which she eats. We all know that is bad for dogs. |

| I don't know why your baby is vomiting, but i do suggest you take her to the vet, i just spent this past weekend worrrying about my furbaby, because she was vomiting, i took her to the vet and she had to be put on IV the vet said that they can become easily dehydrated and then that could lead to becoming hypoglasimec, and then that leads to sezures. i'm sure you dont want this to hppen, but the best bet take her in for a check up. Hope she feels better.

| I was just going to post the same thing on my Yorkie. I don't really know what to do. Lynx is a year and a half and every couple of weeks he gets really sick and throws up yellow bile. I know he's really dehydrated so as soon as I get off work (45 min!) I'm going to take him to the vet. Every time I take him, they can't find anything wrong - just that he's dehydrated. I think he just has a sensitive stomach - we've switched his food like 3 times. I think it may be a new treat I gave him yesterday. Anyone else have a sensitive Yorkie like this? Mari |

| Emmie used to vomit yellow bile, mostly during the night, several times a night from time to time but she doesn't do this much anymore. Izzy B. will also vomit during the night on occasion but neither has ever done this to the point of dehydration. I did have Emmie checked by the vet one time after she had done this and she said her tonsils were enlarged and put her on liquid antibiotics and she really hasn't seemed to vomit much since then. | I actually took Georgie to the vet for this exact problem. The vet told me that it could be he has an empty stomach in the morning, and that's why he is throwing up, so now I keep his favorite dog biscuit by the bed. He did say that since Georgie threw up 3 days in a row he may have gotten into something. He suggested I give him Pepcid-AC (a very very small amount). I would suggest if your baby throws up tomorrow to take her to the vet. Also, my nieces Yorkie does this as well, so don't worry but make sure it's just an empty stomach and not anything else.

| one of my yorkies use to do that but she also use to have pains in her tummy which would make a grumbleing sound.it turned out she had a tummy ulcer and ibs, after treatment she was fine.the yorkies i have now are sick now and again and i have noticed that if i feed them in the morning as soon as i get up then a snack in the afternoon then feed them not long before we go to bed they dont do it, maybe your yorkie has a lot of acid in its tum and it gets rid of the food quick so by the time morning comes the tummys empty and it brings up bile, which a dog only does when the tums empty, try that and see if it helps
