| Stroke??? Can a yorkie have a stroke? What would it look like? Around 5:30 pm last night, my girls were chasing squirrels outside. Tia was following me in and out of the house while chasing. (I always keep an eye on them and the weather.) Ally, on the other hand, would not leave those critters...even at dinner time. We all came inside to eat and after Ally ate, she went to the sliding glass door to continue her 'watch'. lol I noticed that her back right leg was up, like her nail was caught in her hair. I checked it and it was neither caught or sore. I put her down and her front right paw was up. I checked it too. Nothing, but she was shivering very slightly...not like she was hurt or cold...maybe like she was a little anxious...and who wouldn't be with those squirrels trespassing in her yard! I picked her up because it freaked me out a little and she seemed ok. She focused on me...and my french fries...as usual. After eating a fry, I put her down and she stood on all four again. What could it have been? She was not overheated and her paws were not sore, like she stepped on something. |

| She is just darling! It sounds like she was just overly excited about the squirrels, but if you really feel that something is wrong, or if it happens again, probably a good idea to have the vet take a look at her.

| Thanks. It happened so fast. If it would have lasted longer, I would have taken her in. She LOVES squirrels so so so so much and this has never happened before. |

| She might have just been overexcited from all the squirrel action going on outside. I know I can't get my male's focus off of the squirrels until they go away. I really hope it wasn't anything... If she does it again, I would take her in.

| Yes they can have strokes. My late Audrey had one. But it doesn't sound like Ally had a stroke. Like the others have said, I think it was over excitement about the squirrels. I know my Allie is obsessed with those darn things, and she will stand and dance back and forth as if she is ready for a race. LOL

| LOL. Sounds like mine. I agree with others - it was liley the obession and energy created in her body from wanting to get out to those squirrels. Tibbe shakes all over sometimes when he sees squirrels, birds, cats or even another dog outside.

| Has your baby ever been checked for LP ? as it sounds like her knee may have possibly been stuck. With LP the knee can pop in & out at random so 1 min it can be out & in the next. |
