| Nutering issue please read. I took my at the time 10 month old yorkie max to get neutered. All appeared to go well. Yesterday I noticed a little lump on the side of the cut and on the other side what appeared to be a stich just trying to peek out. I did touch it to see how it felt. And I did agrivate it because the lump got bigger and turned a little red. I took her back to the vet she did say it was an internal stich that did not fully disolve. She tried to get it out and aggrivated it even more. She said to bring him back and she is going to put him under and remove it. Now from her poking around it looks like he got a little infection. She said put bacitration on it and bring him in Monday to do the procedure. How does this sound I am worried of my choice in the vet. Does this sound right. |

| Well I never had that happen to one of my dogs but it did happen to me. I had a 10 pound tumor they removed and I was opened from belly button to , well we won't go there but about 4 or 5 months later something started to come up from where I was totally healed..it scared me because I didn't know what it was. So off I go to the Dr. and he pulled it out there (a little hurtful) and I had to put ointment on the sore for about a week..then it healed. See how you feel about the vet after Monday...I think they are taking the right steps but I am not sure how I feel about the thread coming out..hmmm

| I see he's probably already gone in and had the procedure and I hope everything went ok. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I think you are right to have some concern. I'm a little confused on how long ago he was neutered. If it was recent enough that there was still an incision that was not healed, the internal suture wouldn't have had time to dissolve. My vet has said that it can take up to a year for internal stitches to dissolve. Anything before that might have the internal layers unhealed and leave way for a hernia in the future. |

| I did not have surgery done Hey I did not go through with the surgery because of my concern with the vet. However I have applied baceittration 2 times a day and it looks much better. Going to have another vet check him out Friday. Thank you for your concern |
