Well I never had that happen to one of my dogs but it did happen to me. I had a 10 pound tumor they removed and I was opened from belly button to , well we won't go there but about 4 or 5 months later something started to come up from where I was totally healed..it scared me because I didn't know what it was. So off I go to the Dr. and he pulled it out there (a little hurtful) and I had to put ointment on the sore for about a week..then it healed.
See how you feel about the vet after Monday...I think they are taking the right steps but I am not sure how I feel about the thread coming out..hmmm
