| Poor little girl they looks so pitiful in those casts. I'm glad the surgery went okay and she's home.

| Poor precious little baby! Is her little bum all shaved off? Sorry, but bare Yorkie butt is so darn cute, it's just terrible what they have to go through to show that off. I'm so glad she is home. Each day will get a bit better. Something I forgot to tell you, the more relaxed you can be, the more relaxed Lilly can be. They really feed off our body language. Sometimes less doting is more, especially after the first couple of days. The more you can stick to the pre-op routine, the better. Take care and let me know if I can help.

| Gracie was on Tramadol and Rimadyl. Tramadol is a good pain killer but it is short acting, unlike Rimadyl that you typically dose every 12 hours. Give it around the clock until it is gone. The vet ordered Tramadol for Gracie every 8-12 hours, but during the first few days I had to give it every 6 hours (with the vets OK) to control the pain.

| Lily is not doing as well today but the vet said that the third day would be the worst. She does not want to eat or drink but she did go potty 1 and 2 so this is a great thing. Yes her bum is all shaved. When I woke up today and put lily down she tried to chase the cat but did not get very far before I grabbed her, I thought this was good because this is the first time she has really tried to be active. Quick question is oatmeal ok for lily to eat.

Ellie gets steel cut oats in her food. I just boil them and do nothing else to them. Steel cut oats are very high in calories which would probably be good for her right now. Will she eat canned dog food?

| When Gracie would not eat, she would take some bites of plain oatmeal. I also gave her some dry whole wheat toast which for some reason she loves. Lilly will have more days not interested in eating. Sometimes hand feeding helps. Also Nutrical can spark the appetite. Yes, day 3 is the worst. Take care and keep us posted.

| New wrap Lily went potty on her soft cast so I took her in to get it re wrapped. The vet said that her legs looked like they were healing well but is worried that she does not want to walk on them, keep in mind this is not my vet just the only vet within an hour that is open on Saturday. I am a little worried, she still does not want to eat or drink, it had been 13 hours since she has gone #1 and over 30 hours since she has gone #2 I think she is depressed. I am ready to get my little terror back, I can’t wait to see her run around the house. Any suggestions on my issues with her would be much appreciated.

| You may want to make a "plastic wrap" for her bandages to keep the pee pee off. It might help!...... Has she started eating yet? Shelby will be having this surgery on Thursday.... I am so NOT looking forward to it.....but what needs to be done for her will be done. You may want to try some nutrical if Lily isn't eating well. I heard that it is really good stuff. Hope that she is doing better today. Keep us posted!

| Lily is still not wanting to eat much so I am forced to feed her with a syringe at times. I give her nutrical in the evenings depending on how she has eaten that day. I wrapped her leg during the day but took it off at bed time because it bothers her, this was not a problem because she was not walking so if she did have to go potty I would take her, this night she hopped out of her bed and went potty while I was changing. It was actually for the best because I took her to get a new wrap and when they took the old one off they found it was so tight and rubbing so bad it took all the skin of parts of her legs. They put a new softer wrap on which is better for her but it is now slipping so I have to deal with the fact that she want to pull out her stitches but only a day and a half left she gets them out on wed morning .
