| Please Help Something Is So Wrong 1 week ago Bleu loves to run go jump in his bed talk to me then run to me and he gets a treat. I guess he thought he wanted to surprise me and do a "NEW TRICK so instead of jumping the side of "HIS BED" he jumped the foot of his bed catching his under carriage and ribs and hind feet and front feet ...... He kept running and playing like nothing was wrong .. I ran to him got him and he was fine... 2 days later...... He lost 2 teeth .. He also began to cry a painful yelping cry so I thought maybe he was teething... I went and bought him a teething pacifier... (cutest thing you ever saw) Yesterday.... Woke up he eats drinks potties and poops just fine but walks a little different sometimes backwards and cries when I go to pick him up.. It scares me to death cause I never know when he is going to cry like that.... I called my mom over and she thought it could be internal. GET HIM AN APPPT AND GET IT NOW! So off we go to the Doctor. Yesterday 4:00 pm Go to the doc DOES NO YELPING DID A FEW TRICKS WAS HAPPY GO LUCKY WE WERE THERE FOR AN HOUR WITH THE DOC ATE HIS TREAT WALKED NORMAL PASSED ALL EXAMS DOC GAVE PERFECT BILL OF HEALTH... I told doc but doc you have no idea he is in pain I know my baby he said LET ME GIVE HIM A PAIN SHOT .. BLEU DID NOT CRY.. He did very well.... SO Off to Walmart to get a toy or treat or outfit or something cause he did so good and.... mom is a pharmacist there so we had to go give her a update..... STILL ACTING PERFECTLY NORMAL... OH AND NO TEMPERATURE!! 5 :30 YESTERDAY GET HOME HE RUNS THE STAIRS RUNS DOWN THEM GETS IN HIS BED TALKS ROLLS OVER SITS LAYSDOWN PUTS HIS TOYS UP AND IS HAVING A GREAT TIME ATE HIS TREATS POTTIED POOPED AND LOVING LIFE 8:00 PM YESTERDAY AFRAID OF HIS BED CRIES WHEN YOU GO TO PICK HIM UP WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN THE STAIRS AND IS CRYING AGAIN!!!! I called the doc and the doc is telling me to wait 24 more hours and observe him... HE EATS POOPS DRINKS BARKS GOOD EVERYTHING ELSE IS GOOD. HE SAYS THE SHOT SHOULD HAVE LASTED 24 hours.. I said I think it wore off in 4 HOURS.. IM SO WORRIED MOM AND I THINK HE HAS A CHIPPED RIB MAYBE!! THE DOC SAYS IT WILL HEAL ON ITS OWN I ASKED IFTHERE WAS ANYTHING I COULD GIVE HIM OVER THE COUNTER FOR PAIN AND I DID NOT GET A ANSWER... HAS ANYONE EVER GONE THROUGH THIS AND WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT THIS IS MY BABY AND IM A NERVOUS WRECK! Vicki |

| Hi, congrats on your baby, he sounds adorable. Perhaps the vet can do xrays and get an idea if there is something going on internally? Could he have damaged a knee? Did he check the pups knees out? If this vet is not satisfactory to your needs, keep searching until you find the right vet, its like drs. ya know? Take care & good luck.

| Back pain can be very hard to diagnose. Ask your vet if he'd mind taking one x-ray of his back and neck. Or perhaps just palpate his entire back and neck and see if he has pain. I've had dogs that had very minor 'accidents' and reacted pretty severely with pain in their necks and backs over the next few days. One even had a more severe issue that eventually required surgery that a small tumble triggered. Hopefully it's just fear (behavioral) ...but have him thoroughly checked out. Joy

| Good for you in making sure your little one got looked at some more, i'm really surprised that xrays weren't done from the get go. My little girl broke her leg today and she didn't appear to be in appear to be in pain from it at all, she was holding it up and putting no pressure on it but when it was touched and moved around she was fine with it. You just can never tell, I hope your little guy feels better soon

| ~Be cautious please!~ Be very, very careful with him. Look up something called Atlanto-Axial subluxation. My very first Chihuahua had it, and needed neurosurgery. It sounds very similar, and even jarring the dog with the neck out of place can sever the spinal cord. I'm not meaning to scare you, but please just look into it. Hugs, Joy

| Yes, you should take a look at a new vet in the area. One thing that is funny to me is that my Duncan at times cries to. His back right leg seems to be hurting him. He would play eat and such but when he wants some attention he limps and cries till we pick him up on our laps. You said that when you try to pick him up it hurts. Wow I would go see another vet and get x-rays on your baby it could be a sertain spot that he hits and then it starts to hurt and he remembers thats why he was scared of his bed. Hope He gets well and god bless you both.
